I don't usually do this, and I know he doesn't ask, but a longtime WVU fan and supporter had triple bypass surgery at St.Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV around noon today.

Steve White of Winfield, a past longtime assistant fb coach at Nitro and a HOF high school wrestling coach at the same school, is in need of your thoughts and prayers. He has been a member of the BL for years as well. Many of you here know him, as does Vernon, and many of WVU's coaches, past and present.

Thanks for your thinking of and praying for Steve at this time.

An update on Steve. He is doing well after having three bypasses today around noon. Of course in a couple days he'll be moved to a regular room if all goes well. The third day is usually the telltale day and the toughest. I will go see him on Friday.

Man, Steve is an old friend of mine. Tell him the crew from the old Colonial is pulling for him.
I will do. I saw him yesterday, he's doing very well. Might be home today. Yesterday afternoon he showered, walked the hall a couple times, walked up a short stairway, and situp in a chair most all afternoon. Old coaches and Nam vets are tough old buzzards. :boxing:

And both groups are heroes, although I put the veterans much higher on my admiration totem pole.
