Everybody jumped me for criticizing Mullen for the way he treated Wilson on the sideline during the aTm game but I`m telling you that was just a clue to a major problem with Mullen. He`s a bigmouthed, classless dickhead that is about to really start struggling to hire good assistants. Life is too short for a good coach to put up with his **** . Don`t believe me ? Hide and watch.
I am not disputing what you witnessed on the sideline of the aTm failed abortion, but it could be construed as a stretch to say DM insulted any good coaches that day. That was as pathetic defensive performance as I've witnessed from State in 20 years or more. Having said that, someone should have been constantly berating DM for his inexplicable decision to keep Russell in the game today and Prescott on the bench. Just inexplicable ...
Disappointing end, but I don't see it as a bad year. We had no good wins but no bad losses.
I'm not going to complain too much about an 8-5 year simply because things have been much worse.
I did like what I saw today from some guys that will be back on defense next year.
Unless Russell is another Jevan Snead, I see him bouncing back from this and being better next year.
We must go to a bowl game next year if we want to build a solid program. No questions asked.

No bad losses? What the 17 was the Egg Bowl? We didn't beat a team w a winning record - except MTSU.
Are we going to get someone with the balls to sit a player that is throwing for 45 yards and 3 ints? We might have a chance without that. The players just looked unprepared, and playcalling doesn't make since 75% of the time.
Defense wasn't too bad outside of 2 drives. Tackling looks pathetic at times and the d line gets manhandled by everyone.
It all came down to coaching in my opinion. Yeah Russell had an awful game, but coaches have got to know when enough is enough and go with a guy that can handle coming in and playing when Russell is clearly off. Stubborness of the staff is one of my biggest concerns. For example, Josh Robinson getting about 10 yards per carry and running through people, but we go with "Stop-at-the-line-of-scrimmage" Perkins on 3rd and 2. Perkins is good an all but is a first and second down guy, not third and short.....ever. He always stops at the line of scrimmage for a juke while looking for the homerun instead of getting what we need.
Honestly, if I am a recruit, I don't see what the coaching staff brings to the table after watching our pathetic team for the last 6 games.

This game was as pathetic as the rest of the season, which had a lukewarm feel to it at best.
DM & TR made enough bad decisions today to qualify for congress or the supreme court.
I'd like to see our coach and players guys drop the talk until they can walk the walk.
Those who liked our team better when they had something to prove should love the 2013 edition.

Miss. State needs to return to a traditional Miss. State defense...
..being constantly out of position; being unable to shed blocks at the LOS; being unaware of proper tackling technique; being too timid to unleash the vicious hit; having 0 pass rush the whole season...this is not how defense is played at MSU. This year's defense was a travesty. All inept defensive assistants must be fire & replaced beginning tomorrow morning bright & early.
