Where has this defense been all year? I know Mississippi played like sh*t, but outside of the 1 long TD run defense was outstanding.
This game was lost on offense. 0 points in 2nd half. 1st & goal from the 1 & can’t score. Key stat of the game 30 rushes for 39 yards.
proud of the effort but we’re just not a good team. At all.

It was the right defensive game plan to prevent a blowout.

I’m not happy with the results overall tonight but why does every team we play “play their worst game” against us? Opponents get an excuse but we don’t?
We’re MSU: “We always make excuses”*******

(Officiating, attendance, Satan, weather, etc. etc.)

They certainly didn’t win many points with the committee if it’s close for that last playoff spot.
Also, there is a Big12 team that is going to get in and will not be in the top 12 but will get the 12 seed. Bad part is Ole miss would beat the crap out of them.

They could have scored 100 running 5 wides all game.

As to why they played so conservatively, I only have speculations as to why.

They were not sand bagging. Lane would have loved to have hung 63 on us. You always win and lose in the trenches. This team is trash but it's 10x better than they were game 1. They have made a lot of progress. Hopefully we can keep all of the good pieces and add a few more to it. Maybe by 26 it will be a decent team
