If you haven't seen them, Google "Big Ten Divisions" and you'll get there.

Looks pretty rational to me. It's pretty much a NW/SE geographical split except for Wisconsin, who looks to have drawn the short end of the stick. Guess that's what they get for being 2nd place the last 15 years. Each team has a permanent opponent in the other division, and the first two years at least, Michigan/Ohio State will be the last weekend. Not sure what the divisional rotation will wind up being.

I think they've avoided the stupidity of something like the ACC's divisions, where it's impossible to figure out who's in which division without a cheat sheet.

Doesn't look too bad to me.

As long as they haven't done anything as random as what the ACC did, it's fine with me. How <17>ed up is it that I can very easily name the two CUSA divisions, but have no <17>ing clue what the two ACC divisions are except that Florida St. and Miami are in opposite divisions? Hell, I don't even know what the two ACC divisons are called. I think one may be called the Atlantic, which makes about as much sense as calling one of the SEC divisions the Southeast. Seriously, Atlantic is the name of your conference. How can it also be the name of a division?

Yeah, seems as though Wisconsin got the shaft. They could have made it alot easier geographically... But I'm guessing they split up Mich and OSU so they wouldn't have a lop-sided division. They could have drawn the line down the Illinois/Indiana border and made a west and east divisions.

Seems more logical to me. OSU, PSU and Mich being tops in the east with Wisc, Neb, and Iowa tops in the west.

Permanent cross-division rivals could be Wisc/Mich, Ill/Indi, NW/Pur, PSU/Iowa, Neb/OSU, Minn/Mich State. Seems pretty balanced. Would also keep rivalries like Ill/Indi and Wisc/Mich running.
