It's frustrating cause I look at projections and some of these teams like VCU and California are projected lat four in. I see their resumes and I'm not expert so they probably beat some decent quad 1 unranked teams and probably beat who they are supposed to beat, but I look at VCU, I mean they are in the A-10 and haven't beat St Louis once. And you look at the non con and haven't seen anyone special.
Not excusing us because my point is, if we even split against Depaul, didn't choke second Creighton game and won one of these games against the top of big east, we could've arguably already been in.
If we can win this game, it gets us much closer to the bubble.

St Johns such a pathetic "NIL" team. They would just be Willard Pirates if the State of NCAA was actually fair actually worse, cause they were a joke when we actually had a good team. I don't respect the plastic NYC golden boy team, all BOUGHT. It's such a sad thing seeing these BOUGHT TEAMS succeed basically cause of money. I laugh at the bandwagon St John fans. I know they had their popularity in the 80s, but you know they would be nothing even with Pitino if this was 2020. We won circle over this "BOUGHT" team like it is in American sports nowadays. I can at least respect UCONN and Villanova for their history.

I hope St Johns are like Clippers in NBA. Buy all their players but choke when it matters. I hope UCONN do the favor and win by 50 against this SOULESS program. I'm not upset that much when you see the corruption. Seton Hall would be where they ere in 2020 if NCAA was actually fair game and these entitled players earnest coddled like in the NBA now. It's impressive we win 20 games without BUYING PLAYERS like how "Bought" St Johns and SEC teams are.

St Johns will never get my respect. I used to like this JOKE school. BOUGHT team like in professional sports. I hope they enjoy succeeding only cause of MONEY. F them and all these teams benefitting from money.

Three point shot and the refs were the difference. Hines foul at the end was a great example. Whistle is blowing way before minor contact was made. The bald ref better be getting paid. But if you can’t hit a three until a minute left in the game it’s hard to win.
Didn’t watch the 2nd half. I liked how they played in the 1st including some sets from the staff to get some offense flowing.
From the 20 minutes I saw Seton Hall felt like a team lacking talent who was finding a way to hang in there which is a testament to the coaching.
I like how Sha went for experience this last portal season, the next big adjustment should be a willingness to take on 1-2 shooters proven shooters who are deficient defensively (less costly). The lack of outside shooting has been a thorn in this program’s side for a while.

Honestly not trying to be an ***, but what’s the point of coming onto the game thread and sharing your opinion when you did not watch the second half.
I just don’t get it. Could you not watch it for personal reasons or just chose not to?

Yea threes did us in and seemed like every loose ball went to St. Johns giving them second and third chances.

I have no idea who you are or why you feel entitled to an explanation on that. Its a full game thread, not a 1st or 2nd half thread.
And as someone who has critiques of Sha I praised how the team looked. They looked well coached tonight and had some good offensive sets going.
That is your choice whether you would like to share or not.
But if you chose to just watch the first half and then ignore watching the rest of the game, when the season was on the line, then you’re not a real fan in my book.
If there was something that required your attention, then I hope all is OK.
But there are fans that come on here all the time to share their evaluations/ criticisms of the team, Sha, program etc etc, who really aren’t committed fans. I could do without those opinions.
Sha should not have had to come out and plead with people to show up for tonight’s game.
We knew all season what this team was in terms of there artistic (or lack there of) style of basketball. But they gave us games to cheer for with meaning all the way up until the end of the BE season.
At this point of the night, I don’t need to evaluate how some of sets looked like in the first half and hope he embraces more three point shooting in the portal.
I am just appreciative that I could watch Seton Hall basketball not repeat the 7-25 of last year.
