feels good to get back on here after a little break. Been scanning over some threads and reading. What's everyone thinking about the standings for this years TRC? I can tell you I am beyond pleased with Coach Dove and the discipline he has already instilled in the SC players just in the weight room. I'm more excited about this season than I have been in many years.

I think the conference title will be decided in Tabor this year when South Columbus hosts Fairmont. I have not heard much about Whiteville.
I haven't either. I know SC old coach was hired there and they're implementing triple option into the offense. Should be a fun year to see how things go!
Yeah. Hutch was SCs old coach and tried to run triple option which was a bust. Now Hutch is at Whiteville trying to implement triple option there. Dove is Wing T guy and knows it really well. Maybe I should have worded that better on my post.
Should be interesting to see Fairmont this season. Many coaches and many serious athletes.......we will see
I know they have their QB and WR back. Heard they lost some on D which is normal for any school. Fairmont is always fast and athletic. Should be fun to watch.
Cool. Yeah we play in BB&T Jamboree on the 12 vs North Brunswick. We will see how that goes. I know the boys are looking good, strong, pumped up and really like the discipline of the new coach. Coaching is everything! Look for some good things from SC this year.
S2V, congratulations on your retirement! I was reading on another thread and saw that! Many thanks for your service to our country!
I'm really loving our new coach, Coach Pierce, as well! Coach Byrd was the last good football coach I thought we had! I'm hoping Pierce will bring excitement back to West Columbus Football!
I know it feels good to have a motivated coach back in the saddle, we feel the same way at SC. How are you guys looking at West?

Today would mark my last day in uniform. Tomorrow I begin my vacation and on 1 Nov will be marked as my official retirement day.

Maybe you'll get the chance to sit in a hammock on the beach, skankily attired maidens fetchin' you them umbreller dranks made of vodker and collard juice, all the while the cement pond people are engrossed and confined with mashin' one of them annoying Mashin' Machines as yet another plot of land is purchased simply by mashin' in some numbers on the more addictive than crack machine, for the goats, collard fields , and a few grape vines slung in for good measure, later to be squeezed into vino as the No More Smart Phones Movement is finally heard around the globe, causing most of the inebriated participants to mutter this statement, " What a total waste of time, and an oxymoron to boot." .

To me I believe The defense needs a little oil, but they should be good to go. Glad we do the Jamboree as a feel of where a team is. Our first run was lights out but then I dont know where and why the game went the way it did. Like I said, they will be ok...

Ok....I was wondering. I know you know what's up when it comes to Fairmont football. I agree These scrimmages and Jamborees are a great thing to get the bugs out.
