Great news on a bleak Monday. Seems like solid get. I guess the staff wasn't going to wait around for Alaimo anymore now that he seemed to be trending towards MSU.

Heard several P5 schools had him number 1 on their board...Colorado was mentioned as really wanting him for their system which they felt was a perfect fit....

Colorado ended up taking another QB instead.

good pick up but what about Aliamo and I guess with Massoud going to prep/high school in Texas now this makes things 'fluid'?

Maybe he is still committed to Rutgers and is willing to play DB if he does not get the QB spot.

At least wait for Alaimo to commit somewhere before taking this kid. The sooner RU rids itself of CrAsh the better.

Don't know how he'll do in the B1G, but Manheim Central is one of the perennially tough teams in our 10-county district in Pa. They have something like 10 district football championships and reached the 5A state title game this past year, losing 36-31 to a Penn Hills team that had 4-5 Division I prospects, including a couple in their defensive backfield. They have Simon listed as a pro QB, but he's not immobile from what I saw. Competition is not bad at the 5A level, but like a lot of HS quarterbacks he's going to have to get used to the speed of the college game. Coming from Manheim, he'll probably be a well-coached kid.

Thanks for the insight. Much appreciated. Sounds like a solid pickup for the program. Ignore the downers. Typical Jersey self loathing types.
