If he can win in the SEC at Mississippi State he can win even bigger in the Big Ten West.

Easy recruiting pickings in the south, can he upgrade the talent even more at Nebraska? Can he actually put together a damn good staff to come to Lincoln, can he motivate and teach players already at UNL to play at a higher level? He might be able to, but we've seen successful coaches leave other places only to struggle at the next. He would be worth a shot, no worse than what we are witnessing right now.

I might just take a leave of absence if we are going to get a series of posts every week suggesting whatever average coach pulled of a good win this last week....regardless of their record.
Well I am not a Mullen cheerleader but considering the conference he coaches in at a school with less resources than some of the other big boys in the SEC I think he is better than average. 7 bowls in 8 years, 5-2 bowl record and only 2 losing seasons in 8 years. Look at MSU before he got there.

Mike Riley of the SEC, IMO.

Take a flier on one of the up-and-comers. Justin Fuentes, Jeff Brohm, DJ Durkin, or Mike Norvell.

Fuentes and Durkin aren't leaving where they are at. Brohm would be a good but doubt he will leave Purdue for anything but a Southern job. Norvell no body of work yet.

Sub out the PAC for the SEC in this post and you are talking about Riley.
