Recap: MSU was inside Auburn territory at the 40 yard line, with 40 seconds left, down by 3 and with no time-outs left but:

1. Why didn't we try to dink/dunk our way quickly down the field and try to tie the game with a FG? Just get about 5, 10, 15 or 20 yards in order to set up the Vegatable with a decent kick and send the game into overtime?

2. The Spread Offense is geared toward short/quick pass or runs to get down the field quickly. I mean this is our m.o. most of the time but instead, Relf/Ralph lofts the ball into coverage 3 straight times all for nothing? It seemed like the evil spirit of croomz took over the last 40 secs.

3. We could've tried to either:

A. Run it for a 5 yard play with Ballard/Perkins toward the sideline and get out of bounds to stop the clock or try running Relf around the end and spike the ball to stop clock. Then do the same thing again for a 5 yd play.

B. Throw a 5 to 10 yard Out pattern toward the sidelines (catch it hopefully) and get out of bounds. Then do the same thing again, hell all you need is about 15-20 yards to get into FG range.

4. It seems Mullen was trying to go for the win (score a TD) in regulation instead of tying the game with a FG and send it into overtime? Now I applaud his aggressive win attitude, but hell, just get a first down stop the clock and bring in the Vegatable for a kick attempt. Maybe our kickers don't have that sort of range?

5. I'm a dubmass for even asking such things - yes, I know, we are M-state!
