If Bama beats Auburn today, we go to the final weekend of SEC play in a four way tie for first place, with Ole Miss a game back.

Here are next week's matchups.
Ole Miss at Arkansas
LSU at Mississippi State
Auburn at Tennessee
Alabama at South Carolina

Obviously, Auburn has the leg up (especially if they win today), and Alabama has the toughest road, but here are the possible scenarios:

2-way tie:
MSU wins 2 way tiebreakers with Auburn and Ole Miss, loses them to Arkansas and Alabama.

MSU sweeps, Auburn sweeps, Alabama loses 1 to USC and Arkansas loses 1 to Ole Miss
MSU 2-1, Auburn 2-1, Alabama 1-2, Arkansas 1-2
MSU sweeps, Auburn loses 1 to Tennessee, Alabama loses 1 to USC, Ole Miss sweeps Arkansas

3-way tie:
MSU wins 3 way tiebreaker if ends tied with Auburn and Arkansas, or ends tied with Auburn and Ole Miss

MSU sweeps, Auburn sweeps, Arkansas sweeps, Alabama loses 1 to USC
MSU 2-1, Auburn 2-1, Arkansas 2-1, Alabama 1-2
MSU 2-1, Auburn 2-1, Ole Miss 3-0, Alabama 1-2

4 way tie
MSU cannot win a 4 way tiebreaker in any scenario.

Cannot see us losing 3 to LSU.

Cannot see Bama taking 2 at SC.

Can see Auburn taking 3 at Tennessee.

Wehave to take 2 from LSU. Not worried about the rest. IF we get the WEST 1 or 2, I'll be tickled, but I be just plain happy if we make Hoover.

By the way, I was at Oxford last night and I can say that we are good for at least one more game like that this year. Let's hope we don't already have a loss in the LSU series before we throw up one of those stinkers like that, where our hitters couldn't hit a guy with a tennis racket in their hands. Our guys missed some pitches by 4 inches. And then of course the ole' "let's take the close pitch with 2 strikesdemon" reared his ugly head again too.

You may have just overlooked it, but I believe we woud win a tiebreaker scenario between us, Bama, and Auburn. We would have 4 wins against those 2 teams, Bama would have 3, and Auburn 2. Pretty sure that's the case.

Regardless were going 2 and out in the SEC Tourney so it doesnt really matter...all we can hope for is a good draw in regionals...we cant compete with the top of the SEC this year

If we are #1 in the West, we get the #2 seed at Hoover. If we are #3 in the West, we most likely get the #7 seed at Hoover.Since #2 plays #7, we would be matched up against an SEC West team in the first game in either of those scenarios. That would be a big plus towards advancing instead of having to open with Florida, Vandy, or South Carolina. Those teamsshould get slotted in seeds 1, 3, and 4.
