tiger got publicly upset with an official rushing the pace of play on the 16th hole (where paddy shot a +3, taking the wind out of a fantastic final round) and said that it made paddy rush three tough shots. is this a classy move by wanting things to be fair? or him whining again?

Neither one of them were happy with the official telling that. My thing is they are the final group on Sunday......who cares if they go a little longer.

It's one thing to give them a little leeway (which it appears the tournament did). It's a whole nother thing to have the last group come in 1/2 hour after everyone else has finished (which is where it was headed if the official hadn't done anything).

but I thought what he said was on target. I understand the argument of everyone playing by the same rules(clock), but it ruined a good ending to the round. I really could care less who won the tournament as I was just enjoying a competitive final round. But after 16, I lost all interest in it.

neither classy nor whining. Just being honest. Though I do like him publically standing up for Padraig.

There hasn't been a penalty imposed for slow play in like 20 years (per PTI yesterday). Why get into it in the middle of a great round? Sure, they were behind. They were not fighting darkness or anything. And like Tiger said, 40 seconds is not enough to play some of those shots.
