<span class="post-title">"More Relf this Week"

</span> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><span class="post-title"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 8pt; COLOR: black; FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma">"It is the triple option that he is referencing but we have had 2 weeks to prepare. Im sure we will see some twists and variations out of our playbook we haven't seen yet. "

These are two point in my earlier posts. The option and the spread are both big umbrellas where many variations of each can fall under and there are many wrinkles and twist that you can throw in there with each. I believe that this staff has used the previous 2 weeks to install some new twist and wrinkles, things that we have not shown on film to this point. I guess we agree to disagree.

As far as your dad spending a week with the Bear, how in the hell is that relevant to this debate?

This was your original post to which I replied-

"If they stack the box which we anticipate then we could see a HEAVY dose of the option. Let's make them play sideline to sideline"

you say nothing of adding the veer or triple. And based on the option plays we have run this season, that would be a mistake. Should we add the veer to it, then thats a totally different story. Triple threat attacks inside out, speed option is meant to get to the corner.

And then he'll throw just as many (if not more) passes that you have no idea who he's throwing it to.
Better than DL's playing the tip drill 7 times a game. Pick 6's waiting to happen.

We have to start off with what we had success with against UF. Screens and dumps to the backs. That is the only type of play that got our offense anywhere against Florida. To win this game, we have to be able to run for positive yardage between the tackles. The option will not put us in position to win this game, it's more likely we would turn the ball over. If our defense keeps us in the game, we are going to have to be able to convert 3rd/4th and short in the second half. If we are anywhere behind Bama's 40, we cannot go for it on 4th and short. I think its a longshot, but we can win this game.

We are not going to stray too far from our idenity, however, I think we have somethings that were installed in the last two weeks. Do you think its too far out of the realm of reality that we cant install the veer or what ever type of option that THE STAFF feels gives us the best opportunity to move the football against Bama's front 7?
