For everyone complaining about Gal not calling a timeout yesterday, there is a method to his madness. Like Hall Of Fame and 3 time National Champion Roy Williams, he rarely ever calls timeouts in early season games in these types of situations. Young players need to play through these situations firsthand and experience how to handle adversity. Early season games are the best teaching tool for a coach. Come March, we’ll be well versed and seasoned in situational basketball. It’s always about March.

Maybe Cal doesn’t have designs for Quade to be PG in crunch time come March.

You can try to sugar coat it any way you want to, but not calling a timeout or telling them to call one was a huge mistake and cost us the game. We might not have won the game had a timeout been called, but we sure as hell lost it because it wasn’t called. The players clearly were not up to the task themselves, so it’s up to Cal to step in and , well.....you know, be a coach. I’m pretty sure that’s why he’s there.

He called a time out when they were down three. I agree. Shai got a decent look for only having about 5 seconds left. When he could have (should have?) taken the TO was the previous possession when down 2 and Quade threw up the air ball 3 with lots of time left. But honestly I don't worry too much about late time outs. We don't seem to get great looks either way. Maybe if they drew up an actual play?

Cal never to rarely calls a TO in that situation. That said, haGans needs to get to half court with a mission not taking his time. losing that game sucks, we are of the running fir a 1 seed come march. If we could of went undefeated in dec, and held court in SEC, would at least be in the conversation. hate to let the selection commitee determine our fate,historically they *** us...

I’m sick of this “come March” bs. Come March we may be staring at a 6 or 7 seed possibly even worse bc of what happened in December. I don’t care who the coach is if you aren’t a top two seed winning championships are very difficult. If you’re a 6-7 seed the likelihood of a championship is very very low like in the tenths of a percent. This system is failing big time

If that makes you feel better, whatever. Cal blundered. End of story. He always preaches about March and putting the team in the best position for a good seed. Getting beat by the likes of Seton Hall doesn’t exactly help that cause.

It makes me feel better because I know this to be fact. I don’t like to lose either but I understand the process. Knee jerk reactions aren’t my thing. Big picture.
