Tired of the National Anthem protests. If you don't like it then GTFO.

I won't & I doubt many will argue about the oppression of years ago, but use that as a basis for things getting worse - as I believe - in the last 5-10 years when blacks have as much freedom as anyone else imo is a bogus excuse.

Woe to me, I'm black, I'm a victim. That's what's going on.
Welcome to the Social Justice Warrior movement. Each day they wake up and ask themselves, how can they be a professional victim today, and asking you to check your privilege if you dare cross words with them.

This woman shuts down every SJW stance with one little statement:

Wish they would all go to their safe space and we launch a bunch of bunker busters and wipe them all out. They've become more of a threat to the American way of life than ISIS.

No system is perfect. None. It just so happens we have the most imperfect perfect system on earth. You can get a fairer shot here than anywhere else. Ever.

But that's not good enough for these pouting babies. They are playing children's games for a living and making millions of dollars doing it but they are so spoiled and detached from reality that they have to have their 15 minutes more and show their asses over some fake assed BLM crap.

Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, that thinks Trayvon Martin is a civil rights hero is a total complete MORON and I sincerely mean that. BLM itself is a terrorist organization. We just keep feeding this nonsense and pandering to it instead of calling it what it is.

Nobody has to stay in a country they hate. If you find American unbearable and are embarrassed by our National Anthem then please leave. Come back in 5-10 years and tell us about your experiences in Sudan, Rwanda, South Africa, and all the other predominantly black countries around the globe. Go take a gander at how much black lives matter in those countries.

Lol at Black Lives Matter is a terrorist organization.....and you prolly will argue to the death that the KKK isn't....Jesus...the amount of pure ignorance and bigotry on here is almost laughable. Get over yourself. White men telling black people what is and isn't an issue, if their life is worth living, not only to comply but exactly how to do so and how they can and cannot protest....Jesus you must lead some miserable lives....and not comprehend the true and natural meaning of freedom. He gets to stand, sit , kneel and do whatever the hell he wants....and it's hurting exactly 0 people....and dumbasses like yourself fall off their rocker over it and put a narrative around it that he himself said there's no support of from his end...

really tempted to slap Sean on the ignore list. It's really not good company to be in. If I do, I'm afraid I'll miss out on the next thread he creates that taken over by trolls and leads to me laughing.

Go out into the real world with your fake *** humor and you'll find you aren't the best of company yourself....message board funny guy.... Might wanna phone your mommy that you need your clothes folded by Saturday...

That was my only regret putting him in the box. I'm sure I'll miss out on how drones are awesome, and several other posts where he makes a stand and moves the goalposts when proven wrong, but it is a sacrifice I am willing to make.

well my mother has been dead since I was 14, sir, and frankly that kind of intolerance to my "situation" hurts my feelings. Of all people, I never expected such words from you. Good thing I have an internet free, almond milk flowing, Disney movie on loop safe space built into my home to fend myself from such further remarks.

I can't believe you, Shawn.

And as an aside, I assure you with complete conviction I am, indeed, as funny in real life as I am on said message board. I even have a signed affidavit to confirm this hanging on my wall for all company that comes over wishing to indulge in my humor.
He didn't check his privilege.

In simple terms it's just damn sad that many of us served our country with great sacrifice for us and our families to protect the freedom that so many ******** take to and past the limit. Instead of dissing our flag and anthem they need to hit the pavement and do something to help the great needs they feel they are deprived of.

I read a player from Denver kneeled same and that the entire Seahawks team is contemplating such. Doesn't and won't help a damn thing for their "cause" imho. The left coast is at work. If we ever get invaded the spearhead of the assault will be in Frisco. Rant done.

Edit: The roads are paved in gold in the USA! It's up to you

Wait, wait, wait...sean, in the last time he made a whiny thread about how ashamed of being white he is claimed that he became an activist after seeing his wife harrassed on a "daily basis", now he wrote multiple thesis papers in college?

Also, @BigBlueSean , if what you claim of "telling black people how to feel" is offensive. What exactly is it youre doing? There are NUMEROUS black people who feel the exact opposite of you. Youre saying they should all feel the same, should all be victims and should all be angry. So whos the offensive racist *******?

Typical. The National Anthem and the Flag stands for so many great things yet people want to pull out a few "injustices" (in their opinion, not everyone's) and use it as a means to stomp their feet, whine, and make excuses. Sorry it hasn't been a perfect ride. Sorry that not every single person can be 100% satisfied.

America is turning into the 3rd grade. Honestly, keep your head down, work hard, and don't complain.. you'll be ahead of everyone else by the time you're 35.

The OP's GTFO message is ridiculous imo. You could have said (and many stupidly did say) the same things about protests in the civil rights movement in the '60s. Like it or not, the First Amendment protects protesters. But, that just means they can't be thrown in jail. Protests can still have repercussions, including, in most states, potentially loss of your job. I wouldn't be surprised if see a player or two (Megan Rapinoe for example with respect to the USWNT) lose his/her place on the team.

Both sides are being pretty ridiculous. If some athletes want to kneel during the National Anthem, by all means go ahead. I think it's disrespectful and I think less of them for it, but whatever. People do disrespectful stuff every day and it has zero effect on my life. This issue is no different - it's definitely not worth the national outrage.

People love to be offended. That couldn't be more evident by both sides on this issue. Personally, I take the "head down" approach on the entire issue.

I'd like to think that we keep SOME respect for this country, the place that's allowing athletes to play a game as a career.. a pretty damn lucrative career.. is it that much to ask to not burn the flag, and to stand for the National Anthem? That's it. We're not asking for the 1st born. Not making you go a monthly pilgrimage to DC to bow to our leaders.

I do agree with that the US stands on freedom and heck.. you could masturbate during the entire ceremony.. Technically, it's allowed (well, sort of.. lewd conduct might come into play)

But Jesus.. you're asked to Stand for 30 seconds. That's it.

I'm with MacCard on this: let them do it, ignore it, know who they are for yourself. Pretty easy. Once you throw a fit about it then the spotlight is given to them that they want and now you have whole teams talking about doing it. Ignore it and stop posting on FB about it and this whole thing would have been over with already.

So, what I gathered from this thread (other than Sean) is that America is indeed imperfect. However, it's the best imperfect society so black people (or anyone that feels targeted or discriminated against) should just sit back and take it cause that's just the way it is?

OKAY.

A MUCH bigger problem is black on black crime and the black community(or any other community) completely ignores it. Blacks kill blacks at probably AT LEAST 50-1 compared to cops.

The problem hasn't been acknowledged by a large portion of the population. Just look at this board. Look at #alllivesmatter and #bluelivesmatter (which really is stupid when you think about it. Doesn't #alllivesmatter include police officers?).

I don't have the answers for everything, but I think the start would be to actually serve some justice in at least one of these cases.

But I'm just an "libtard" who is trying to further the "pussification of America". Also, if you don't like the so called "pussification of America", why don't you find a new country to live in. See how that works?

One of the worst arguments ever. No one, especially the black community, is ignoring the issue of black on black crime.

I keep seeing this repeated ad nausea, but it has been repudiated multiple times.

Because it isn't a problem. Blacks are not killed by police at disproportionate rates, and the examples used by the BLM movement have mostly been found to be justified shootings, like Mike Brown.

So, the ones that don't fall under your mostly umbrella....why weren't there any convictions?

Pretty much how I am, it doesn't affect my life one way or the other. Colon Kaepernick started it, now others are following suit, to each their own if they want. If he's waiting for America to be 100%, he's going to have a long wait. It's just a fad. Once the media burns it out and wants to talk about something else, it will be forgotten about like everything else.

They do fall under the mostly umbrella - that's why they weren't convicted. A jury of their peers found them not guilty of a crime.

Please enlighten me because I sure don't see people marching and shutting down highways for it. I don't see BLM talking about it. I mean, it's in the thousands per year. But let's highlight 10-15 cases vs cops and make THAT the issue instead of everyone looking at how black culture is possibly influencing its own people to kill each other.

It's more of a terrible cultural characteristics of pointing all the blame of one's problems on someone other than themselves. It's ALWAYS someone else's fault.

So somehow the shooters with ar-15s that kill dozens of people at Columbine, Aurora, Charleston, Sandy Hook all manage to get to see their day in court and a dude selling CDs or chilling on the streets of new York, or a legal gun owner in Minnesota pulled over for a busted tail light are "threats that deserved to die".... Wow, your ignorance is dumbfounding

Pretty sure the shooters in both Columbine and Sandy Hook were NEVER EVEN PROSECUTED! How crazy is that? Idiot.

The problem is, the only crimes being complained about seems to be just white cops (some guilty) on black people making national news. "We are outraged damn it!" Point being, be outraged about all of it and not just a few incidents by some bad apples. But, not only do they express outrage, they generally take it way too far by attacking innocent people too and destroy their own neighborhoods. That can only make matters worse.

If you are ashamed of our country then revoke your citizenship and go try living in some great advanced civilization/city around the world built by black people.

Or maybe draw attention to the problems that exist in order to promote change. I'll bet some of these same comments were made back during civil rights protests. "That Rosa Parks is stupid. If these negroes don't like it here, they should just get on a boat back to Africa. They don't know how good they got it."

The First Amendment is a powerful thing. The beauty of America is that we defend someone's rights to express opinions, even if we don't share those opinions.

What is far more scarier are those that think people should be forced or required by law to act in a certain "patriotic" way....actually that's nationalism, and it is the government TAKING AWAY RIGHTS.

Sing. Stand. Sit. Kneel. Do whatever. It's a free damn country. Let's keep it that way.

Be thankful we live in a country where we can protest govt or corporate overreach. While I don't always agree with idiots like Kaepernick, The Today Show, the TPM, Congress or even The Donald, I'm happy these numbskulls have a voice.
