We had more people at today's game than the Pirates have had for 4 of their home games, more than 2 of the Marlins home games, 3 of the Mariners home games, 3 of the Astros home games, 3 of the Royals home games, and 7 of the Indians home games. That amazes me. I hate that I couldn't be there, but it's great to see us put up that kind of number. If we can find a way to host a regional or super regional, I think we break the record.

They played the Braves, Nats and Phillies in their 1st 3 home series.

That led to some huge turnouts. I think they had 20,000 at one of their home games. Good thing they built that new stadium and spent a lot of money on a ****** team. I don't know how long their contract is in Miami but they have to be bleeding some serious cash right now. Them and Tampa need to get out of the state of FL and into better markets.

That guy has won 2 World Series. I'm pretty sure he made a little money those 2 years. The Marlins ain't leaving Miami. I am willing to bet he wins a 3rd before the Cubs win one. That being said what he is surrounding Stanton with in the lineup is a crime. Stanton has ZERO RBI so far this year.

Back before the Braves got "good", meaning the 80s, it wasn't unusual to have a home crowd much smaller than what we had yesterday.

Does OM have a Super Black Bear weekend? If so, how is their baseball attendance?

They're trying to market to the Cuban-Americans in the Miami area. Their biggest mistake was hiring Ozzie Guillen, who promptly told everybody how much he respected and admired Fidel Castro for being able to stay in power so long....not exactly a smart move among a bunch of anti-Communist exiles.

If you watched our game Friday night on ESPN3, Dick Cross would have told you all about it. Very stupid move for ESPN to put him in the booth calling our game. Superstitious baseball fans might correlate our loss with that decision.

I was watching the Boston bomber apprehension. Was Cross a play-by-play announcer or the color guy?
