Have to agree. Where is JD. How many times has Dan said that he is no longer a moderator but then continues as the only one.

He was not threatened with a ban for his posts unless as I asked he not post Trove information here.

I don't care for his posts but he has every right to make them. That was never in question. Please get your facts straight.

JD has had a few issues and I offered to help him.

Today is my last day as a moderator.

And for the record, JD has never banned anyone and I have banned one person in the last 1 1/2 years. Maybe even longer as I don't remember.

To call us Trigger-happy keyboard warriors is a joke.

In JD's defense as the new owner of the site he was just trying to establish that he didn't want name calling on the board. I seriously doubt he was going to follow through on his threat.

@HALL85 - smart takes on basketball and politics, and always respectful. Thank you.
@NYShoreGuy - been here forever. we didn't always agree, but another person who made this board interesting.
@cernjSHU - we have had our moments, but you're a great fan and I wish you well with your health.
@Hall Is Life - feel like we've been on and off (lol), but you've never been clouded by an agenda whether we agreed or not.
@Seton75 - another board legend. We've disagreed many a time, but a true blue Pirate fan.
@donnie-baseball - another one who I feel like I've been on and off with over the years, but an incredibly long tenured and respected poster.
@VegasPJ1 - always chimed in with the occasional words of wisdom. clear-eyed thoughts on pay-for-play.
@Bud Boomer - one of the sharpest basketball minds and an early adopter of predictive metrics. Thank you for the many great insights and passion for college basketball in general.
@SHUSource - another board OG. We've ebbed and flowed over the years, but your thoughts were always sincere and respected.
@HallLine69 - strongly opinionated like myself, but always professional even in disagreement.
@Gritty5837 - not a frequent poster, but great insight when you chimed in.
@General_Tso - legendary "six packs." Always called it as it truly was.
@lloyde dobler - the old wise one of the board. Great wealth of knowledge and history.
@Section112 - long time poster who has a great basketball mind and a lot of common sense smarts.
@Fishjam - common sense, well-informed, detailed analysis of the game.

There are so many others that I'm sure have been lost in the terrible transition to On3 or I simply can't recall as I type this. I apologize for that, but you are appreciated. Go Pirates.

Wow! This list could be the forum’s first Hall of Fame ballot!! Excluding Dan for a moment, who undeniably has put in an incredible amount of work in making this forum even possible, being a relative newcomer, I would like to shout out the list’s bookends, just for the reasons that shu09 stated. And thank you to everyone on the list, and begrudgingly shu09 as well, for your unique perspectives and taking the time out to express them!

Heh I kNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BE BANNED! I was at least once and it is not funny. Problem was I never really knew what forum rules were and how I violated them. Seems very discretionary. I believe in free speech and as long as people stay on topic and not use words that are prohibited like curse words everyone's opinion should be expressed freely. We can agree to disagree and comment as appropriate.

huh? nobody was predicting tournament with the entire big east schedule left.

the guy won unanimous COY. he's wrong on this.

@shu09 sad to see you go. In my short time posting and long time lurking, I feel like you add a lot to the board and often agree with you. You have every right to be negative on the coach and I'm on your side on that issue until Sha proves me wrong that he can coach offense. Hope you reconsider.
