....looked like a pretty even split of allegiances. No major logistical 17-ups to speak of, as opposed to previous years at the TP, when the food lines never went down. They've added Chick-fil-A and Pizza Shack as concession vendors. Pizza Shack is $9-$11, but if it's anything like their restaurant, it'll be totally worth it. I'll have to try that next time.
With traffic included, you could have been back in Starkville (I assume thats where you are talking about when you "classes") no later than 12:00....Even if you have an 8:00 class, that is more than enough sleep if you wanted to come down...
To answer your question though, the crowd was nice, but in my opinion the atmosphere wasnt that "intense" to me...especially considering it was a on run, come from behind victory...overall a good night!
I wasn't officially done till the evening around 4 or so. By then there just wasn't any point for me to go since I had other engagements to attend to as well.
Pizza line was shortest so thats whatwe went with...hadthe "carnivore". You won't be disappointed.
Pollerena/Reed were money. We have absolutely no clutch hitting. Parks looks like he's trying to pinch a loaf in the box. Southern gifted us that one and they are still some tacky sonsofbitches.
I'm gonna miss the deck, but they are looking for somewhere else to go in the downtown to Fondren area aren't they? I'd like them to get in with Pelahatchie Bay Trading Post and get a deck out over the water. We'll hit up Giovanni's or Soulshine occasionally, but there's definitely something lacking when dining in a strip center.
The one on Canton Mart is not going to be their only location. It's just expansion and was in the works regardless of having to move from the current location. At least that's what I was told last time I was there.
According to their manager, they won't miss a day of business. One will close and thenew onewill open the same day. Also, Pizza Shack is moving to Colonial Mart and they are moving into the Fabra Care cleaners by McDades on Fortification across from Fenians in a couple months and they are wanting to expand to Clinton, not sure on the time frame.
There's your daily Jackson eatery education lesson.
D'Cats but I did for the Senators. If they were anything alike, I can attest to the seriousness of the situation. There would be about 20 people at the game and you could sit wherever you wanted. Lee Owens (old wjtv sports guy) would always be about 5 seats in front of me smashing about 10 hotdogs and 4 orders of nachos. He would get after the food at Smith Willy. Good times.
I didn't know they were going to keep the businesses going. Those two restaurants are some of the only things I care for in Jackson outside of family and friends
It's just easier from a glance around to stadium to notice a bright Mustard colored shirt, jorts, and tattoos covering the arm. I was actually surprised at the number of Southern fans there but we have to remember that they are having a great season. We are having an average season. Watching our team makes me want to fall asleep from time to time.
It's not official but I talked to a girl who works at the ballpark. She said most of the ticket takers/box office people thought there were more state fans. I don't know if they took that from ticket buyers who requested to sit on a certain side, or it that is just what they assumed. Either way we need to pile in there in two weeks against Ole Miss.
