Is today the last day? I have essentially completely quit keeping up with who's here and who's not, and the timeline of when those can decide where they want to chase the "contract" or the "bag" as those nerds call it
He's currently playing ball with Team USA in North Carolina. They have a game at 1:30 Central today, thus no movement could occur this afternoon. If something happens, it'll be tonight
Some of the same rumor starters are going to look pretty stupid again if he stays.
If he enters the portal on the last possible day to enter, that's just a dick move. Gives us no time to go get a replacement. Not that you can really replace the possible #1 pick in next year's draft. The Cape league gives a lot of opportunity for recruiting other team's players. That's probably where this smoke is coming from. He just left the Cape to head to Team USA
As a coach I would find it hard to watch someone enter the portal to try and go find somewhere they like better than my program, I can't see letting them come back. Not going to let them in essence say "well I looked around and couldn't find anyone that wanted me so I'll come back home now"
I'm confused. Didn't he already state he was staying put. Tweeting something akin to "running it back"?
Yes, he did tweet that out and the tweet is still there. After LSU won the easiest Natty ever, the rumor fired back up.
Surprise, surprise. A lot of rumor mongering over nothing.
My feeling is that this was never as serious as twitter suggested.
I'm already drafting tweets to start rumors next summer:

pull him to GA after he left MSU. If I remember Dakota was only in the portal a few hours, maybe only even overnight before he jumped back out and decided to stay committed to State. This deal w/Ace smells tampering all day long…..
Yeah. I always thought if Ace was leaving he would have been a Tiger within 48 hours after the portal first opened. And when he wasn't, I figured we were probably safe.
I swear LSU is the world's worst, they can't help themselves. Mad about several recruits they begged to go to LSU turn them down. Ace is like number 7 to tell them no thanks
I never thought Ace would leave when he signed his NIL deal before the House Bill was signed. I'm not sure the rumor about him going to Lsu was true either.
