Or other equally valid conspiracy...

Herman doesn't want the NU job and wants to keep Langs employed

Puzzling. I can't prove this but if we hired Herman we are undefeated now. I went to the UH game tonight. Herman's offense is perfect for our personnel. Power, zone reads, roll outs. Defense plays fast and schemes to get to QB successfully. Nothing about Houston looks like Langs offense. Nothing. They are not pass happy. They are patient with the running, zone read game. Lots of read option. Their QB (Johnny McCrary) was a receiver last year. Herman found a way not to use transition year as an excuse.
The talk in the stadium was that So. Cal has contacted Herman's agent.

I like Herman alot.

Nothing about Houston's offense has to look like Langsdorf. Preparing a QB for the rigors of D1 or NFL football is different than being an OC. We're certainly seeing roughspots with Langs being a playcaller, vice just a QB guru.
