Tommy Armstrong will not be with the team next year.

I will start the rumor mill. Tommy Armstrong will transfer at the end of the year. He does not get along well with Langsdorf and has been very stubborn when it comes to coaching.

However it happens, he cannot start another game besides a potential bowl game.

Probably would be best for both parties. But it could get ugly...or uglier for Riley/Langsdorf if we have to resort to starting a JUCO QB or POB. I really don't think Riley can endure another losing season.

He might try to stick around to surpass TM's records. Those are well within reach.

Offensive line did ok today-- not great but decent. The INT's were all thrown directly to the other team and are inexcusable for a 3 year starting qb. If he would transfer it would be best for all parties. The cancerous attitudes held over from last year need to end when this season ends.

Im not exactly a Tommy supporter, but be careful what you wish for. Rolling into next season with a pile of inexperienced QBs and an average RB core and you should go ahead and ready yourself for a season worse than this one. Coaches coach for the now. Coaching for the future is a quick way to get fired, so save the getting experience for a freshman QB stuff.

At sometime you can't have the same QB that is a senior making the same bad decisions time after time and expect to be better.

TA is the square peg in the round hole that is this offense's scheme/philosophy. If he's able to be a fifth year transfer (like Rudock at Michigan), he probably should so he can find a school/offense that better suits his skill set, and NE can then develop a QB that's a better fit.

If he is the QB, I am not watching. Been watching 42 years. Fcuking sad....POB must be the guy. Too many throws off the back foot and into triple coverage.

Good riddance. Tmart 2.0.

We see freshman quarterbacks nearly every year come in and make noise for other programs. Why not us?

All I know, is if this staff wants any chance at having a meaningful season next year, they must find every way possible to keep Tommy off the field (as a quarterback anyway).

Because Bo ran this program into the ground.

Tmart and T Armstrong for that last 6 years.

This is not a good recipe for winning.

I must admit, you guys sure better hope POB is the real deal because if he's not, you guys might have even bigger issues than you do now. His highlights and stats do look promising though.

We need Zach Taylor, part 2. Get a Juco guy in here that can read a defense and manage a game to give POB time to grow into the role. We simply have to get away from these high-wire acts at the QB spot. This is 6 years now of QBs that live on the razor's edge. When they're hot, they can look amazing. But the volume of catastrophic errors is not worth the risk.

Bo won nine or more games every year he was coach. His demeanor and actions off the field may not have sat well with many, but he certainly didn't run the program into the ground, far from it.

I can't remember Taylor ever playing as bad as Armstrong did today. Hell, I can't remember anyone making some of the throws I saw today.

From his position on the bench?
We shall see. Not a fan of TA but no way POB comes in and starts as a true Frosh. TM's records are going to be broken. It will benefit POB to have a redshirt year to get adjusted to the speed of the college game.

I am wondering if you heard the same story I did about Tommy walking out of practice some time after Rutgers in response to Langsdorf questioning his decision making ability. I wonder if this really happened? Hmmm....
