I'm not sure Fyfe has a stronger arm, but he probably does see the field better, and his short to intermediate game is probably better. I have no doubt Fyfe throws a better screen pass.
I too would like to see how Fyfe looks in some extended playing time.
If anything, Fyfe just might move the offense more consistently.
With Tommy, it's been very disjointed under the new offense, and I think while Fyfe may not have as much big play potential as Tommy has, he may also not put us in as many bad positions and make it easier to just systematically grind out 3-5 yards a play and move down the field. We saw him do exactly that at Iowa & Michigan State last year.
The other thing about it, is it will force defenses to loosen up on loading the box so much, which should help make our run game go easier.
