Is their guy that rolled his ankle this weekend playing tonight? How big of an impact will that have on them?

Yep. Just go play the m17er. You're not supposed to win on the road in the SEC, even against above average teams. Always been that way.

We shouldn't be blown out by a team playing without their leader in points, rebounds and assists. We can lose, but getting blown out would be extremely deflating.

The more important game is Saturday. Have to defend the home court. We have a lot of opportunities for road wins after Tennessee. A blowout or a 2 point loss doesn't matter to me.

On the flip side, we're being handed an opportunity for a high quality road win on a silver platter. Probably should take advantage of that because we've already failed at defending the home court.

Whatever happens tonight I will walk away hating Chad Baker Mazzar probably more than I already do.
Which is tough because I have never hates a BB player this much ever.
Just a total POS that happens to be a good basketball player

I've been thinking about him and wondering to what extent he and Cam might get into it.

This game is as much of a “house money” game as we have this year. Nothing to lose, a lot to gain. If we play our A game we can absolutely win, especially with Broome out.

we have a decent chance, just need to play our game like we did at SC. Out muscle the frail little fellas that prefer to jack up 3 balls instead of playing basketball.

Agree except that I'll be pleasantly surprised if we keep it close. We're a very good team, but I've seen Auburn absolutely dismantle good to very good teams all year long, and we're going to have to punch above our weight class to keep this thing close on the road.

Either way, I do agree that there's virtually nothing negative that come from tonight as long as we can get out of there healthy

If we win - so be it. It's a huge win.
If we play close - so be it. That's to be expected.
If we get blown out - so be it. Auburn is #1 in the nation and we are on the road.

Just wont take much from tonight outside of a blowout W.
I think if we win by any amount it's a big deal. Road win at a top 5 team is huge. Having said that I don't think it's happening even with Broome out, and I won't be terribly upset about it.

If we win, it would be one of the biggest regular season wins in program history. Beating the almost unanimous #1 team on the road would be huge. However, I don’t expect that to happen. Just don’t get absolutely blown out and I won’t get too down about it.

I don't know. Basically since the road dawg team, with a few exceptions for Q's final year, it seems like any time we have had the chance to make a statement, we have not only not closed out, we usually have barely gotten off the bus before being in a big hole if not out of the game completely.

I am optimistic that is not the case with this team. We didn't win against kentucky, but I don't have any problem with the way we played. Even acknowleding that our defense on 3 should have been better, they usually aren't going to shoot like that, even against bad defense (and I would say ours was average, not necessarily bad).

If we give them all they want, even if we don't win, that will be another piece that makes me feel better about this team showing up when it matters. Obviously not going to jump off the bandwagon or anything if we get beat solidly, but I think playing them to the wire after a disappointing game against UK does tell us something meaningful about the team.

He just ran his mouth.

Baker Mazzar runs his mouth and is a dirty player.
Exactly, he ran his mouth like the filthy lyin cheatin Ole Miss scumbag piece of shiit he is.

For the record, I dislike the Auburn guy too. It's just not as visceral. I'm open to changing my mind after this game tonight.

I expect to win this game. I counted it a loss prior to the Broome injury because we were going to have a bad matchup problem with their best player. As long as they don't pull a Kentucky and shoot 50% from 3, we are in good shape.

Baker-Mazara wants to get into the other teams head. He knows early on if it is working or not. He doesn't affect someone like Hubbard or Harris, but, he won't be guarding them. He will most likely be on Jones/Kugel/Melendez. I'm not worried about Jones or Melendez, he will absolutely affect Kugel. Kugel is questionable right now, but, if he plays he will either be ejected (more likely) or go off for 25+ pts.

Concerns are how recharged the team can get physically and mentally after leaving it all on the court in a late game Saturday night. Also, whining Pearl will be in extra rare form with his number 1 guy out, so I expect him to completely work over the officials.

Won’t get any help from officials obviously. Hopefully, they won’t go Kentucky on us and hit threes like crazy (I still say Kentucky will not shoot like that for the rest of the season). I like the toughness of this team. Win is a big plus. Loss shouldn’t hurt.

Auburn is not no. 1 in the country w/o the best player in the nation.
