No one is saying they are satisfied...
but you can attribute our record to many more things than just "poor situational hitting." How about games we lost because we walked in runs or hit batsmen that scored? That has nothing to do with hitting, and I can name you 3 SEC games right now we lost because walks or HBP.
I have yet to hear one person say they are satisfied with our record or don't expect more out of us. That's pretty obvious... but another fact I have for you is that we have the toughest conference schedule of any team right now, and we are .500 after having to play LSU, @Ark, @UK, @Vandy, @A&M, and then UF and Auburn (being arguably our easiest series to date, on paper). Name me another SEC team whose played a schedule like that and are .500 right now. Gain some perspective. We have a chance to win tomorrow and if we win, we are going to be just fine. Par for the course and we can go on and still count on being on track to host. I don't think fans will ask for more than that.
As far as our hitting is concerned, point to some numbers that show we are terrible hitting situationally. I just pointed to numbers to show we are in the top 20% in the league in situational hitting AFTER playing a hellacious schedule to this point and having to face some of the best pitchers the league can throw at us (Nola, Reed, Fant, Beede, and about 8 others). That's not bad at all, when you put it in perspective.
