They lose by 35 at home- and they are pumped. Why? Because they didnt quit.

I've never seen a team give up 8 TD's and a FG on defense and people talk about how much better its getting. Hey Bears- Nutts teams never gave up 66 points. Wow

According to David Johnson this morning...

...the bear offense has proven itself to be one of the best in the conference and he has no doubt they will score in the 30's against both Bama and LSU.

He seriously said that.

I still say Mack probably would have toned it down......

had Bucky not kept trying. Probably would have made the score seem a little better. I wouldn't want my team to quit either, but taking a smart step may have been better than getting completely embarrassed on TV, in front of recruits, and all your already very fickle fans.

Texas literally scored at will.

I've never said this about a team that lost 66-31, but....

it could've been worse. And apparently Rebel radio didn't see the same game as the optimists. The color guy was criticizing Texas for not taking a knee. With 3:51 still to play.

An OM guy I work with came in this morning smilling from ear to ear. "I saw a LOT of positives Saturday night".

/My mind was officially blown!

Let's give them a little credit......

Their offense isn't bad. Their offense was never the problem, even during the Nutt years. They have a few playmakers out there. But nothing near as good as this David Johnson guy says.

Their offense is better than I thought it would be. Wallace is impressive and Moncrief is an absolute beast. Mackey makes a better rb than a qb.

Only Ole Miss could give up the most points in their history since 1917 and come away with positives.

As far as their offense goes, remember that 7 of those points were off a kick return and they only had 10 points at halftime before the game became a rout and Texas began liberally substituting. I will eat my cowbell if they score 30 on either Bama or LSU. Hell they probably won't get that combined in both games.

Jeff Scott looked good too. They have some speed......

I don't understand why people don't get their optimism. They are definitely improving, and that's all you can ask. There is a light at the end of the tunnel for them. Freeze has yet to do anything too Croomtastic.

Their offense reminds me of ours last year. Not stylistically, but how much it relies on a mediocre quarterback to play well. Wallace is going to have to complete at least 65-70% of his passes to even give them a chance to win a game from here out.

Speaking of David Johnson, check out his article on Kailo. It's so sensationalized is borderline comical. It's full of quotes like OM made me feel like a king. He conveniently left out the part where Kailo left at halftime.

"Texas will win the BCS"

Quote from a Bear at Church Sunday... "Texas really is that good. We played a great game against them."

"We should win 7 games this year"

I tried not to laugh in this guys face, but it was tough no too..

Texas took a knee or it would have been a 42 point win and 73 points laid on them.

Crooms team played defense but couldnt score
Freezus team plays offense but cant stop anybody from scoring

Both are ******- just different problems

The few in my office

have talked non-stop about the grove. They haven't even mentioned the game. Swear, the grove...that's it.

Thats because LSU spoiled them last year taking a knee w/ what was it 5:00 or more minutes to go?

Our primary office TOMSA showed up at my office door this morning extolling "... the size of the crowd !!!11!1!" Soiled himself while breathlessly explaining that it was a scene reminiscent of the days of Eli versus LUS.

Don't get me wrong, Texas is pretty damn good, but the Bear defense is weaker than wet toilet paper.

Texas is a decent team but nothing they have done suggests they are even a top 10 team, let alone #1. They have a good offense and a below average defence. UM didn't do much against that d till the substitutions started for Texas.

Listening to the Tim Brando show- 2 of the 5 callers have been Bear callers asking him about how good he thought Mississippi looked

Wow

That's not the point......

Ole Miss has improved from last year and are pretty much playing to their potential. Talent is what is holding them back, not effort or coaching. Basically, it looks like they are doing pretty much all they can.

TX could very well lose their next 3. If memory serves me, they have OU, OSU, and WVU there is no way in hell they win 3 of those!

They are not improved on defense- they are worse. A Division II team scored 27 points on them. 27- which is more than Troy scored on us and they are trying to get on us about our D...

If you improve the offense but are worse on defense- are you really improved?

Wallace was not having any fun from the third snap of that game on. And that game could have been 73-17 easily. The bears aren't taking into consderation ut's substitutions/lackididasical play in the second half. They are spinning for recruiting purposes.

Hey guys, I wish we could come up with some valid positives. Maybe by year four of Freeze we can barely escape Troy (at Troy) and bask in positives afterward like SPS.

I would be optimistic not because of the way Ole Miss has played but because of the way Auburn, Vandy, Arkansas and Tulane has played. Those are four games they can win based on the way they have played. If they won those four they would be 6-6. I am not going to say they are going to win. Those teams could improve and ole Miss could lose a few players. If Bo Wallace goes down it is over for them. The way he runs and looking at his frame I don’t know if he is going to be able to take SEC hits.

What's

that got to do with the fact that your fans didn't even give a **** about the game? They just wanted to win "the party!!1!" Seriously, this is why y'all are om; y'all don't even give a **** about the actual game. All i've heard was that some actor was there, President Bush "may" have been there, a helicopter landed on the practice field, and there were people all in the grove!!1 Yay! Baby steps!1

I think this is right. They kept throwing the ball, and the look on Mack's face was like "really? well have some more then"

Well a majority of Bear fans don't even know....

That games take place on campus. But then again, I don't know if you can really call what took place on the turf Sat night an actual game anyway.

I went to the game. They should be ashamed that many Texas fans could buy tickets first. And second, every Sat. night game in Starkvegas is that loud.
