We signed Dennis Thames, Nickoe Whitley, Johnathon Banks, and Cameron Lawerance as DBs last year. I think Billy Hamilton was also considered a DB or WR, but was drafted to play baseball.
I think Thames is now considered a WR, Banks has played at safety, Lawerance play special teams & will probably be a safety or LB if he adds much size, and I don't think Whitley is expected to play this year - he was injured his SR season (knee maybe??).
Edit: forgot Langston - he played at CB at least once last night.

Langston and Banks were the CB's recruits from last year. The year before it was Watson and Broomfield.
Whitley and Thames were brought is to be safeties (although Thames as going to get a look at WR). Lawrence will either be a S or LB.
It hard to tell if it's truly lack of talent (which I find somewhat hard to believe) or if they just don't understand the scheme well enough or the scheme is flawed. maybe a combination. Who knows, but it sure is frustrating to watch.
