Looks like the smoke's not settling down onto the course. Here in Denver, it looks like Los Angeles when you see downtown from the west side/foothills.

But not golf

Looks like Carl went overboard trying to kill some gophers.

All joking aside, it's pretty awful here in the PNW/Inland NW. Tomorrow will be our 4th day of unhealthy/hazardous conditions due to fires. The high schoolers are playing their football games indoors at the Idaho Kibbie Dome and the U of I women's soccer team's game tomorrow v. Oregon at Eugene has been moved up to 4:00 p.m.

I live three blocks from the Cascades. I have not seen them clearly for over a week because of the smoke.

I just checked. Eugene's air is great. They must have gotten a breeze off the Pacific. Their air quality index is 37 which is good. If it stays like that for the game it will be great. The air quality index is 182 (Unhealthy) where I live in Eastern Washington

Same for me with the Flatirons - and we don't even have any fires burning in Colorado, we're just getting tons of smoke from the west and northwest.

Colorado had a week of rainy weather in early August that had everyone complaining. Hope the weather whiners realize now how fortunate we were to get it.

You'd have to thing a lot of the area that was causing the smoke around Eugene would have burned off by now. Hope it keeps getting better.
