Top 9 region D games left to play

One will be left out of playoffs. Starting 9 to 1 as of today.

Jefferson Forest no. 9. Still plays Amherst , Glass, Brookville and Heritage. Opportunity or downfall.

Salem plays Pulaski and Patrick Henry. They need to win them all.

Amherst has JF, Heritage and Glass

Pulaski has Salem and PH and Blacksburg

George Washington only has Magna Vista

Byrd has Staunton River and Lord Botetourt

Charlottesville has Louisa and Monticello

Blacksburg has Pulaski

Glass has Amherst and JF

One game a season does not make or a team make. There will be injuries, players moved around, defensive adjustments. Whoever makes those adjustments the best and has the depth will be on top..Young Quarterbacks will get better. Offensive line play will improve. Going to.get interesting.

From the matchups above, JF, Amh and Pulaski have their work cut out. It may come down to how well the teams that those three best finish their seasons. Amh best GW and Brookville who both may finish at worst 8-2. Pulaski could make the most noise with Salem, Bburg and PH left all 7+ win teams I project

That's a really big IF...the four teams that they have left are the top 4 teams in the seminole. Not saying it can't be done but it is highly unlikely that they will sweep.

I think Glass will finish season with 6 wins and that matchup between JF and Glass might decide that last playoff spot.Amherst last 2 games with Heritage and Glass scares me also,0-2 and Amherst might be sitting at home during playoffs.

So Glass will lose 3 more games?? That's funny! Who do you think they lose to?

Glass will lose to Amherst, goes 8-2. Maybe 7-3, we will see.
GW Danville will finish 9-1, the only thing is their SOS is weak so they might not earn a top 2 seed.
Charlottesville will finish 8-2 (lose to Louisa). They will end up in the 3/4 range.
Salem will finish 8-2.
Amherst will finish 8-2.
Jefferson Forest will go 4-6/5-5 and will be on the brink, but I think will ultimately be left out.
Blacksburg will go 9-1 and earn the #1 seed.
LCA will go 4-6 and will be left out.
Pulaski will go 7-3 and will end up 7/8.

So in terms of seedings for playoffs, I've got:
1. Blacksburg (9-1)
2. GW Danville (9-1)
3. Amherst (8-2)
4. EC Glass (8-2)
5. Charlottesville (8-2)
6. Salem (8-2)
7. William Byrd (7-3)
8. Pulaski (7-3)

I can only see Glass losing to Amherst or JF.. I doubt they'll lose to both though. Byrd won't lose 3 games either. Though I think they'll be one and done, they should only lose to SR and LB. Danville will more than likely jump Bburg. They have a 5a and 6a left on their schedule and as long as Amherst, JF and LCA wins, they're in good shape point wise.

I could see Byrd moving up if their losses even to 3A SR and LB look bad but could be 10-0 SR and 9-1 LB. The points from those teams may be enough to nudge into top 4 and home game.

If they beat Botty and S. River, I'd think that Byrd would be the #1 seed. It helps that they'll play 5a Fleming twice too.

Glass and JF play next week so that game wouldn’t decide anything for Glass. Glass should come into that game with one loss and at best JF will have 2 losses, maybe 3 after tomorrow night. If anything, it will decide if JF still has a chance to make the playoffs but that’s about it. It really wouldn’t effext Glass much.
