Football can start actually earning their share for once. And you know that people actually donate specifically to the wrestling program, right?
Football is the reason our entire athletic department has the budget we do, regardless of actual results. I’d argue that if we spent more on the actual revenue generating sports (football, basketball, volleyball) it would benefit all the non revenue generating sports, like wrestling, in the long term.

I'm aware, but an additional $3 mil isn’t going to do what you hope it will. Wrestling is one of our actually successful sports. Football can earn their share for once instead of being a bunch of entitled turf fairies they've been lately. $3 mil more doesn’t make Rhule a better coach or a better game manager. He got an extension and got worse.

Turf Fairies, I really did laugh out loud on that.

Remember when Kansas basketball got in a fight with Kansas football, and the hoopers kicked sas? Hate to think how the Turf Fairies would fare against the wrestlers. Hell, the basketball team is tougher than them as well.

ROI has been terrible with the football team. It really is a bad investment. The team regresses and coaches get extensions. People have a choice in what to donate. And some people chose wrestling. Why would a person choose to invest in football. When the administration continues to make terrible decisions. Football program needs to earn the trust of fans donating. I have zero faith in the current landscape of Husker football.

$3M in football gets what? 1-3 players now? is that the difference in beating our projected 5.5 wins this year? Nebraska Wrestling is a Really Good Program and the chance to get another 2nd place win at Nationals this year behind Penn State is real... I'll send my money to the Grapplers
