Oh ok...that's a great question. I've heard so many things I don't know what to believe from they thought he could win a state championship with lca and didn't so he went back to gw, to he was getting recruited by state and wanted to get around public school sol testing and went back now that public schools don't do it, to they thought he'd get bigger d1 offers from playing at lca... But I honestly don't know. maybe lca and tim glass meeting again in the playoffs?!?

And your point is?
Just correcting the information, no sweet talk intended.

I think he was just letting people know. But why would he transfer to LCA from Danville to LCA and back to Danville? just asking. Where does this guy live?
Grades. He had numerous offers and looks while at GW the first time so it wasn't football related. Was a great opportunity for the young man. Got him prepared academically for college thanks to a great learning environment at LCA. Guessing with him coming back to GW, he wanted to finish what he started at GW. Would've love to had him for his junior year, but I can't knock him or any other young person trying to better themselves academically. He also resides in the Danville city limits. Did last year at LCA and does now. He was at basically all of GW basketball games, you could hardly tell he went to school an hour away in Lynchburg.

Yeah I never heard the real reason just rumors. But if grades were factor and he went to lca to prepare him for college, then good for him! He sounds like a young athlete who has his head on his shoulders and understands the meaning of being a student-athlete. He understands that you must have the grades to play! And with that I wish him the best in the future!

Wonder who he was living with in Lynchburg while going to LCA. Long drive everyday for kid going to school, practicing football and studying to keep grades up. Maybe one more reason the VHSL did not want LCA in.

Glass has a huge support system at home. His parents, his uncle who coaches basketball for GW, and grandparents are all about supporting this young man and education. Great people and hats off to them for making the sacrifices for this young man for enhancing his education.

He's a great kid. Very humble and stays out of trouble. He's not the fastest nor is he the strongest I've ever seen but I'll take a hundred Tim Glass in my program anyday! I know LCA enjoyed him and he represented them well.

I heard rumors when he transferred to LCA from Danville, plus if it was about his grades he would have stayed at LCA

It's not necessarily true that he would have stayed at LCA if it was about grades. I teach and coach football at a high school relatively local to LCA and athletes transferring to and from LCA for academics happens more often than most people realize. Those athletes are not always as high profile as Tim Glass so it often goes unnoticed. Based on my few interactions with this young man, I would say it's safe to say DanvilleSportsHead is probably correct.

Gw's other receiver I think #9 had most the receptions against us(MV), 14 didn't do much on offense did he? He saved a TD pass on defense
Yes sir that's Donald Smith Jr. He, ironically, holds an offer from Liberty University. Smith's father, Donald Sr., was a star for LU back in the 80s and played in the CFL and was on the Cowboy's practice squad the year they won the Super Bowl. I think GW is using Glass more for defense though he plays some offense. I originally thought Glass would be the QB this year but the soph QB Sam Branch #6 has done an impeccable job. Glass is used a lot for the wildcat. With the 3 RBs and Guzman #11, Smith #9, and Ballard #2 at the receiver positions, Glass isn't needed as much on offense as he is on defense.

I agree. Good for him, and good for his parents, or whomever, for assisting him.

They all should have gone to LU if recruited by LU. If not, go to Virginia Tech. The one that puzzles me is one going to UVA. Hopefully there will be a coaching change there and he will de commit. JMU is another puzzling one.

It is their choice where they choose and Tech was apparently not their choice. There football program is not that great anyway

I 'm for the team in the playoffs that will allow Salem to have home games---just being selfish I guess
Yeah I'm pulling for LCA to make it through this week and knock off JF next week. Pulling for GW to make it through this week and knock off Champe next week. Then it's home field throughout for Salem as long as they keep winning.

No surprise from wikki, wikki has a personal vendetta against everything lca.
Sorry but there are several reasons why, can't help how I feel, and there are lots of people that feel the same way I do. By the way, it is not everything LCA just them being in the VHSL. I belong to the church and go to LU games and support them just not LCA
