that stadium and fan base is atrocious. It's a good franchise but they desperately need a new location. What city would you like to see get a MLB team? New Orleans, Nashville, San Antonio, Charlotte, Portland, Memphis? New Orleans is my pick. Make the stadium within walking distance of the French Quarter and Bourbon Street.

Sorry man, Toronto is the 4th largest market in Major League Baseball, as defined by MLB, is averaging almost 25,000 a game, and is owned by one of the largest companies in Canada, Rogers Communications. This gives them the financial flexibility to compete. They also are one of the best up and coming teams in baseball and their farm system is loaded with talent. The attendence will bounce back fully in a couple of years after they were bad for so long. Their current situation is similar to where Texas was 3 years ago.
One problem is that Rogers Centre is one of the bigger stadiums in baseball at 50,000. Therefore, there can be a big crowd on hand, but the place looks empty because it is so big.

The MLS team (sad, I know) that moved there plays in their old ballpark- PGE park. And so, they had to build a new stadium by 2011. They couldn't agree to a site, and so the AAA team moved to Tucson as you said and then they will move to Escondido California.
There is a second group that is totally unrelated to the old AAA team that has long wanted baseball in Oregon. With an expansion team, they usually give them a couple of years to sort things out- like where to build a stadium which is their biggest issue, and start their farm system up and all of that.
