Totally outclassed or unprepared or both?

They are just more talented and that talent is well coached.
I think we could have hung with them a little better if that FG wasn't blocked, but I think that let the wind out of our emotional sails. We have talent and are a good football team, but the talent gap between us and Bama is insane.
Our offense came out and made plays early, but you can't miss scoring opportunities in the red zone and you can't let Bama convert 3rd downs. Both of those have happened and we see the result of that.

They have 10 players better than any of ours, their top 30 are equal or better than our top 5. We can NOT compete with them straight up. The game plan should have been different that anything that exists on film. You should have made Saban prepare for a different game than you were going to play On both sides of the ball.

There are probably a lot of folks that got their feelings hurt tonight. Some of the coaching geniuses around here completely missed the boat on just how far we have come. We have definitely progressed, but to think we had any chance at all tonight was laughable. I will tell you something else, there are several more losses in waiting this year. I predicted 7-5 for this year with an outside chance of 8-4. And I will take that any day. No complaints here.
