He is Hack with slightly more athletic ability
Hack going into double OT against possibly the best team in the country…I seriously doubt it.He is Hack with slightly more athletic ability
Hack was a phenomenal athlete.Hack going into double OT against possibly the best team in the country…I seriously doubt it.
No he wasn’t and no he didn’t. He had one phenomenal receiver that Allar never had.Hack was a phenomenal athlete.
And actually won some games against teams with better talent, full quotients of scholarships.
Hack should have left when O'Brien left but they're no comparableHack was a phenomenal athlete.
And actually won some games against teams with better talent, full quotients of scholarships.
He beat Michigan at home and Wisconsin on tne road. Hack was an elite athlete. No he wasn’t and no he didn’t. He had one phenomenal receiver that Allar never had.
Oh good lord. How did that elite talent work out in the NFL?He beat Michigan at home and Wisconsin on tne road. Hack was an elite athlete.
Allar had an all-world TE last year and 2 very strong wr’s this year. Allar also had a wr in 2023 who went on to have a great season elsewhere in 2024 with a better qb to get him the ball.No he wasn’t and no he didn’t. He had one phenomenal receiver that Allar never had.
Not well. Those first two years at PSU were magical. But trying to fit a square peg into a round hole seemed to unwind all of that potential.Oh good lord. How did that elite talent work out in the NFL?
Both. Allar has been a complete bust as a big-time QB.Being at the game today I don't think Allar is the problem. Coaching yes, Allar no.
If he had competent wide receivers who could run big time college football routes he'd be fine. The receivers cannot get open again this year.Both. Allar has been a complete bust as a big-time QB.
Another pathetic strawman. Take another dose of copium, lad. You're battling never-Frankliners like MacNot and lakabrain for worst take, Eeyore.
Less than that. We’ll run the ball, but we ran for 300 yards on them last year and still lost. Just need a B+ game from Drew and we win.
Not sure it would cure his “deer in headlights” but you are correct about the receivers. Middling slot receivers a - all 3 of the Xfer portals. If he had competent wide receivers who could run big time college football routes he'd be fine. The receivers cannot get open again this year.
Lol Franklin is a soy boy, right. You’re just saying stuff now.
While I'm sure MacNit, lakavoisey and bdgan appreciate your support, I'm sure they can fight their own battles and don't need you jumping in to lie on their behalf.Another pathetic strawman. Take another dose of copium, lad.
I know what he means. My post still stands. His is an embarrassing take. This is true, but you know what he means.
For this single season, the playoff game is obviously more important. But for the overall direction if the program, given all the factors, beating OSU could be the single most impactful thing that could happen.
Who are these great WRs? In different schemes WRs are going to put up different numbers. Like yesterday when Wallace played a team with a pulse he was invisible. It's not the QB it's the scheme.Allar had an all-world TE last year and 2 very strong wr’s this year. Allar also had a wr in 2023 who went on to have a great season elsewhere in 2024 with a better qb to get him the ball.
So Nussmeier and Arch also won't be drafted high? If you think any scout is watching film of Drew running this gimmick offense and not seeing what he can do when we run pro style plays (see the long TD or the beautiful 16 yard pass to Dinkins when he held the safety off with his eyes) then I don't know what to day. That said Allar not entering the portal last year when he didn't enter the draft was one of the worst decisions a QB has ever made. After watching Allar play so far this year, he would be lucky to get drafted as high as Sanders was last year. Other than having a strong arm, he doesn’t have anything else you need in a QB.
I no longer blame the wrs. They were open last night. We do not have a qb to get them the ball.If he had competent wide receivers who could run big time college football routes he'd be fine. The receivers cannot get open again this year.
I want to know the purpose of the wildcat. It does not fool anyone. It is a wasted play that essentially creates 10 on 11. It is dumb."We're gonna throw the kitchen sink at them tomorrow..."
I dislike gimmicky offense. Spend the off week polishing execution of sound football plays and getting everyone mentally and physically on the same page. It's dam frustrating watching players looking clumsy trying to execute gimmicky stuff.
I disagree, but will say overall I blame the HC. He's the constant through all these losses to top 10 teams.I no longer blame the wrs. They were open last night. We do not have a qb to get them the ball.
And if you never beat your rivals, you are not recruiting and coaching and developing as well as other programs. If you don't develop as well as your rivals, you're less appealing to those with NFL aspirations. And it's become a theme, recruits are aware, and other schools are absolutely using it against Penn State in recruiting. It's not though--getting the best players is about paying them and proving you develop guys. Recruits aren't going somewhere else if we lose tonight. That's something fans care about and they pretend recruits do. It's all about "can you get me to the next level"
Ohio State can't beat Michigan right now and just won a title.
100% agree…he’s the obnoxious juvenile caricature that a certain demographic need…but don’t confuse that with knowing sh#%Oh, McAfee said so?!? Why didn't you say so in the first place?! Well that changes ... absolutely nothing. I obviously don't know what McAfee actually and exactly said, and in what context, but it also doesn't matter at all. He's a goofy entertainer.
Everyone's goal is to win a Natty when the season starts. Playoff games are the only way to do that. Ergo, playoff games are always bigger games than regular season games (unless, perhaps a regular season game directly and irrevocably changes the "yes" or "no" question of "will we make the playoffs?"
I was there too. They both are without a doubt the problem he is still scared. People who have performed at a high level in anything know what I mean. Neither has it.Being at the game today I don't think Allar is the problem. Coaching yes, Allar no.
did you watch the game?Coaching yes, Allar no.
When I say "develop" i mean--get them to the league--which we're doing very well. Losing to Oregon doesn't change that.
Winning and losing matters. Rivalry games against top opponents are huge opportunities, and all of them lost as of late. Pretending that losing those games doesn't matter to the overall health of the program is ridiculous.
