Sitting at 24th in the RPI and 2 games back of first place in the Western division and a #2 seed in the SEC Tournament.

We play an Alabama team that has been less than impressive this season, while the other three teams in front of us are on the road at Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. UF and USC should easily take care of Auburn and Ole Miss - Arkansas will probably take one from Georgia so we won't be able to overtake even with a sweep.

If USC and Florida sweep and Georgia takes 2 of 3, and we take 2 of 3, and LSU takes 2 of 3 against Kentucky, then the West will look like this:

Arkansas 10-11
Mississippi State 9-12
Alabama 9-12
Auburn 9-12
Ole Miss 9-12
LSU 6-15

These results would put us well within striking distance for the West, and put us as the No. 6 seed after the weekend with three winnable weekends to go.

If Ole Miss and Auburn were to take one, then we are the No. 8 seed after the weekend if we took 2 of 3 and Ole Miss is the odd man out.

forward to it and a trip down memory lane. I used to love the days of the double headers. Hopefully, Bama's thrashing of USM is not indicative of them going on a hot streak.

And I'll be there this weekend with four or more people from out of town. I hope a lot of other people are doing the same. Hopefully the double header will attract a crowd and hopefully easter really was the reason for such a small crowd last weekend. They definitely need our support this weekend. I'm pumped. If our starting pitching does well and stays in the game for a bit, I think itmight be a special weekend.

Alabama is last in the SEC in hitting and in home runs. So, our pitchers should be able to attack them and use our ballpark.

I've got to work Sat- but I am going to try to make the second game on Sat.
