LSU HEAD COACH TRENT JOHNSON

Opening statement...
"Mississippi State has played eight league games. They are 188 out of
433 from the field and 82 out of 200 from behind the three-point line.
We better guard them getting off the bus. Here's the interesting
thing; they've got five guys scoring in double figures. The one
statistic that I haven't been able to chart is how many guys have shot
threes that would be NBA threes, and I'm trying to watch as much film
as possible to see that. There's no sarcasm in this, believe me. They
are the two-time defending SEC Western Division champs, and nobody talks
about that. Nobody talks about the job coach Stansbury has done over the
years. I do believe his tenure in this league is second only to Billy
Donovan's. Knowing him and competing against his teams in the past
when they were big and strong and physical, to change the way they play
and play at this level that they are playing at in terms of going to a
four-guard lineup during the course of the year has been impressive.

"Bury" as they call him is not even in the top half of coaches in the SEC!!!!!! This team is doing it all on physical talent alone, definitely not any coaching involved....

If we shoot poorly it is because Stansbury sucks. If we shoot well it is just because the players were hot. I also think that we should start Bailey, Osby, Brian Johnson, Augustus, and Luzak against LSU because our only chance is to go big against LSU since that nitwit Stans went small last time.

that we just didnt start playing a 4 guard line-up right? You may remember a guy named DIEtrick Slater who played the power forward for us. All we have changed is that we have 4 guys launching 3-balls as opposed to 3 and Phil Turner can shoot while Slater was average at best. I applaud Ricky for opening up the offense a little- just extend the defense a little more and force the tempo

Those of us that get on Ricky do so because of the losses in December and March- not his SEC record.

in the MSU athletic department handbook that coaches cannot adjust their game plan to player's strengths? Rick needs to be called out for this. Unacceptable.
