I enjoyed it. Ole miss is good enough to make a run in the sec tourney again but their reg season resume won't warrant a bid.

They would have to get lucky with Florida and Kentucky getting knocked out. I don't think OM could get by either of them

Ole Miss could beat either one of those teams. They certainly aren't better than those teams, but they could definitely upset one or both of them on a neutral court if Henderson and Summers play well.

That son of a ***** loves playing MS teams. He has always just destroyed us when we play. If he hadn't decided to just take it to the hoop late in this one, the Bears woulda won it. And the accidental foul at the end he had on Summers wound up being a damn good foul. Up 2 with 12.5 seconds. Put Summers on the line for a 1 and 1 for 2 pressure free throws to tie the game. Even if he makes both, that give you the last shot and not them. I liked it because all I could see was cokehead hitting a 30 footer to win it at the buzzer. Unless the Bears can pull off back to back wins vs UK and UF at home, their bubble is burst! And they ain't winning the SEC Tourney again this season. They don't have the inside presence and leadership this year they had with Buckner and Holloway and that is their biggest problem.

Assuming young for Florida and kentucky's bigs don't show up. OM can't handle either of those teams inside game

UK is vulnerable because they don't play hard and they don't have a defensive stopper who can step up if - as you point out - Marshall and/or Summers get in a rhythm.

I think the Rebels are just barely good enough to warrant a bid as one of the last four at-large teams in the tournament.

Don't forget, they traveled to Athens Georgia this weekend. That will be a tough test for them too.

I actually look for Auburn to give Kentucky all they want tonight. Would not be shocked by a Tiger win.

Yeah. That was a bad loss for them as they dropped from 51st to 61st in the RPI. Considering the relative weakness of the SEC, I think they can build back up to 51 again pretty easily by going 5-2 the rest of the way for a 21-10 record and 12-6 in conference. They only have two Sub 100 losses - Alabama (105) and us (we're 166). ESPN's Ole Miss RPI page: Link

They have more bad losses (2) than quality wins (1) though. Unless they beat Florida, Kentucky (sec tourney), or win tourney, I think they're sunk

Only way they make the NCAA tourney is by winning the SEC tourney or the draw of Henderson giving them the nod over a team with an equally shaky resume. Having only one top 50 win is pretty tough to overcome.

Ole Miss has been the beneficiary of an even easier SEC schedule than normal. They got South Carolina, Bama, Vandy, and State twice. They got Florida, LSU, and Missouri all in Oxford. With their backcourt I would have thought they would have more wins right now.
