The end of episode 1 really brought some season one vibes back in my mind. This has caught my attention.

so this conglomerate owns both the station and the mine, and there’s a synergy (possibly with drilling equipment), and clarke killed annie (maybe by accident, maybe because of the mine), and the DNA bring back to life **** works, hooray
I started falling asleep so I turned it off to watch Borges. Will watch it tonight.

I’m torn on all the Season 1 references. Two episodes in, and we already have the spiral, the identity of the ghost, and the conglomerate that’s funding the research station. If all that turns out to be a red herring, fans are going to be disappointed. I feel like they’ve set themselves up where the only acceptable payoff would be Rust Cohle coming in at the end, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.
I just finished Season 1 and went straight to Season 4. Season 1 was so good, it set the bar too high for Season 4 (at least through the current episode). Bunch of yentas. Jodi Foster looks as out of place as an elevator in a barn. She looks like a caricature you'd see on Southpark.
