BREAKING: The Trump Administration has invoked the long-unenforced Immigration Act of 1882 to prohibit entry into the United States of “any convict, lunatic, idiot, or any person unable to take care of himself or herself without becoming a public charge.”

Ultimately, this will allow the Trump Administration to deny green cards to immigrants who are likely to use federal welfare, food stamps, or Medicaid, and to revoke the green cards of immigrants who are currently using these programs.

The new rule is set to take effect Friday, September 18.

As a result, 5.6 million immigrants are expected to lose access to those benefits, and American taxpayers are expected to save $13 billion per year.

and all of these are good...but here's the question..how many voters on this board feel as if their economic lives are better? People might like all these positive things, but when they go to the gas pump or grocery stores they question how they're going to pay their bills this month. IMO, you might be 100% positive in the economy, so is the FED chair, but at the same time, you might be focusing on the wrong things, at this time....

nobody cares...gas is $4.15 in today's dollars the average gas price was $2.91....in February 2026....This administration's policies are why...that's what people see and feel, and that's what they will vote on.

If republicans and Trump had any sense, they would have stopped this Iran thing right after the kinetic bombardments, declared victory and came home. But this 7 moth of dragged out, on again of aging "war" is not the American way. "people love a winner and won't tolerate a loser"...George Patton. Right now people see Trump as a loser. Republicans will pay in November. There is little they can do in the month or so before the election.
