The Green Shoots of Trump’s Hamiltonian Economy

Scott Bessent warned from the beginning that Donald Trump’s economic program would take time to appear in the data. An economy conditioned to reward consumption over production, public borrowing over capital formation, and foreign supply chains over domestic capacity cannot be remade in a quarter.
But policy works with a lag. That lag is beginning to close. We are starting to see green shoots.

At an economic turn, economists follow the household survey. It often shows first whether Americans are finding work, re-entering the labor force or retreating from it. September’s report was solid: household employment rose by 406,000, the labor force expanded by 485,000, and participation climbed to 61.8 percent, its highest level since May. Hours worked also increased.

These are not recessionary signs. They point to a broader expansion of productive capacity.

Wage growth was 3% year over year, while productivity has improved. Business-sector productivity rose 2.2 percent over the year through the second quarter. Manufacturing productivity advanced at a 2.4 percent annualized rate, while unit labor costs fell 0.3 percent. That is the combination policymakers should want: more output per worker, lower unit costs and room for real wages to rise without an inflationary spiral. Attention Phillip Curve lovers.

The Trump program is not simply tax-cut economics. It is a supply-side strategy with national purpose: lower regulatory barriers, expand domestic energy, reward capital formation, rebuild strategic supply chains and make building in America more attractive than offshoring.

The objective is not merely a better quarterly GDP print. It is more energy, housing, equipment, factories, data centers, critical technology and domestic industrial.

The growth in Manufacturing employment is real. The US economy is turning.

That change should eventually show up in corporate profits. My estimate is that S&P 500 operating earnings can reach $450 per share in 2027, as AI investment, reshoring, energy abundance and productivity lift the corporate earnings base.

The inflation evidence is equally important. The Dallas Fed’s trimmed-mean PCE rose at only a 1.92% annualized rate in August, consistent with underlying inflation near the Fed’s target. The danger is that Wall Street Keynesians, Bond Vigilantes and a Federal Reserve trained to see growth as excess demand misread a supply-side expansion as inflation and choke it off.

The green shoots are appearing. Trump’s wager is that America can grow not by borrowing and consuming more, but by producing more.

all of this economic news is great for the future. But how many voters know or even care. The price of gas and groceries is till too high, can't afford a mortgage....election is one month away. Trump created this with the war in Iran...I hope he's got some folks working on a plan to continue this growth with a Democrat controlled Congress. Because you know democrats are not going to be interested in an economic boom in 2028. They want to show that the Republican plan has failed...

DIESEL!!!

I was just talking about this the other day.

Do you remember who raised taxes on dyed diesel and also made stiffer penalties for using it on our highways?

None other than president Bill Clinton.

Anybody remember the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993?

Do you remember what was buried in that bill?

Read this carefully.
See if you can catch the SCAM.

(Brave search)

1) Increased the federal diesel excise tax by 4.3 cents per gallon (from 20.1¢ to 24.4¢), effective October 1, 1993. This was part of a broader deficit-reduction package that also raised the gasoline tax by the same amount.”

2) Established the dyed-fuel penalty regime under 26 U.S.C. § 6715, effective January 1, 1994.
This created the penalty of the greater of $1,000 or $10 per gallon for using or selling dyed fuel for taxable (highway) use, and added escalating penalties for repeat offenses and willful dye alteration.
The dyeing requirement itself (all tax-exempt diesel must be dyed red) was phased in over 1994, with the IRS finalizing the color and concentration rules in June 1994 and mandating red dye for all tax-exempt diesel after September 30, 1994.”

“A GAO report from 1996 confirmed the changes worked: diesel excise tax collections rose roughly $1.2 billion (~22.5%) in 1994 versus 1993, with an estimated $600–700 million of that attributed purely to improved compliance from the dyeing and terminal-level tax collection requirements.”

It never reduced the deficit or government spending.
It just created a new revenue stream of money stolen from the American people by our crooked politicians.

It has just arrived in New Orleans, LA, per Sec. Doug Burgum 👏🏻

WE WON VENEZUELA 🇺🇸🇻🇪

"The ship that delivered the FIRST strategic shipment of aluminum here to the US from Venezuela since the relationship has been normalized. 15,000 metric tons!"

The same thing is going to keep surging with oil, which is EXACTLY what China wishes wasn't happening

The capture of Maduro is going down as a massive Trump W

Very good news!!!

🚨 JUST IN: Effective immediately the Trump administration has hereby SUSPENDED ADOBE, MICROSOFT, Cognizant, Tata, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, and Capgemini from the Permanent Labor Certification Program

They undercut American workers. THEY FAFO'D

THIS. IS. MASSIVE.

"Since 2009, just these companies alone have requested almost 3 million foreign workers. They've received over 230,000 H1B visas approvals and over 100,000 permanent labor certifications."

"That's hundreds of thousands of jobs that were taken from American workers!"

The age of AMERICA FIRST is ALIVE AND WELL right now

A flurry of companies, including some of the biggest outsourcing giants on the planet. Tata, Infosys, Wipro, and HCL have been H1B pipelines for YEARS

Without PERM, they can't sponsor foreign workers for green cards. The path to keep them here for good is SHUT!

Vance, Stephen Miller, and IG D'Esposito are delivering exactly what Trump promised in 2024!

HIRE AMERICAN, IT IS THAT SIMPLE 🇺🇸

Amazing!!!

Social Security Commissioner @frankjbisignano on President Trump enrolling 70 MILLION American children in tax-advantaged investment accounts: "This is an unbelievable program. 70 million enrolled. We will have 25 million by this weekend funded. Think about that. 25 million from the federal government, from Susan and Michael Dell, from Brad Gerstner, from family and friends, and our expectation is to drive the 70 million before the year is out."

🚨 BREAKING: AMERICAN OIL JUST HIT JAPAN — AND TOKYO BAY LIT UP!
A tanker loaded with ~910,000 barrels of Texas crude just steamed into Tokyo Bay after a 35-day voyage through the Panama Canal. Japanese crews were on the docks. The oil is heading straight to Cosmo Oil’s Chiba refinery.
This is the first US shipment Japan locked in as a backup after the Strait of Hormuz effectively closed amid the Iran conflict. Japan normally pulls more than 90% of its oil from the Middle East. They went looking for a different route — and Texas answered.
President Trump’s line is simple: America supplies the world. The barrels just proved it. 🇺🇸🇯🇵🔥
One tanker. One canal. One message.

We are now going to sanction the ICC and strip it of any power by removing the MONEY.

The ICC was a cabal globalist court that acted like it was above the Constitution.
It never had any real power because it can’t enforce its own laws or convictions.

Without the U.S. military, they have no power to arrest or prosecute any American for any reason.
Rubio is permanently shutting that door.
American citizens have Constitutional rights and live under the authority of the Constitution alone.

And now Trump and Rubio are going to destroy the ICC and restore SOVEREIGNTY.

FRIENDLY REMINDER:

Jack Smith worked at the ICC and is now in the FAFO part of his life.
He skirted the Constitution to spy on and try to frame Trump in a clear violation of civil rights.
The beautiful “irony” is this:
The Constitution is now going to convict Jack Smith at the same time that the ICC is being dismantled and thrown into the trash bin of history.

It’s PERFECT!!

I don’t think MAGA is prepared to learn just how corrupt Trump’s sons are and the money they’ve made off the Presidency at the expense of taxpayers.

Then again, people like @TigerGrowls worship Trump as a God so I guess that makes them Jesus 1 and Jesus 2.
I don't think anyone on here worships corruption. And, I doubt anyone would fight for a position arguing the Trump family, or as your post suggests Trump's sons, have not gained financially during their father's presidency. But just making money, in and of itself, does not indicate corruption, nor does it mean the taxpayers have lost anything in the process.

But, you obviously feel pretty strongly about the subject and I'll readily admit I haven't been paying attention to this subject other than reading some stories about companies the sons have invested in have won government contracts. Is there some other data you have seen that would demonstate either the corruption or how taxpayers have lost. I'm genuinely interested.

You're obviously lying, or you're willfully ignorant to the point where your knowledge of just about anything can't be trusted, because this is such a well known and discussed topic that, if you followed politics, or Trump, at all, you'd know about it ... but, in case you recently suffered a traumatic brain injury and lost your memory, here you go ...

Enjoy.

The "fun" part of this is, the corruption extends, not just throughout his family, but throughout his administration and other unrelated stakeholders in the Trump family grift.

Sen. JON HUSTED (R-OH) locked down the deal. This is HUGE.

BIG WIN FOR OHIO! 👏🏻

"The new home of the U.S. Submarine Component Repair Center, a big deal that everybody wanted, and it's going to be right here in Ohio — in Cleveland, Ohio. Big deal. This massive 46,000 square foot facility will manufacture, repair, and maintain key parts for virtually all new and existing submarines."

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump announces he's personally SIGNED and GRANTED ALL permits for the 800-mile Alaska gas pipeline Democrats desperately tried to block

Per Trump, construction has been approved to begin TONIGHT!

"The largest energy infrastructure project in the HISTORY of Alaska -- one of the largest in the history of the United States of America. WE GOT IT DONE."

This'll create THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of jobs

"EVERY SINGLE PERMIT that you need has been GRANTED. And if a Democrat gets in, all of these things are going to be TERMINATED."

47 just unlocked the LARGEST energy infrastructure project in the history of Alaska, but Democrat environmentalist will set those permits on fire if they're put into office.

@dpic73 will never accept this chart as reality. And just to be fair, even if the household income went up by $2560, and the cost of living (comparatively) went up by $3000 the household is still at net loss. And that, IMO, is why republicans are/will have a difficult time holding the house, and maybe senate.
