I don't have an issue with the First Lady not wearing a head dressing, mainly because the previous 3-4 First Lady's didn't either. However, I found it interesting that this was the statement of Donald Trump upon seeing Michele Obama NOT wear one....

“Many people are saying it was wonderful that Mrs. Obama refusing to wear a scarf in Saudi Arabia, but they were insulted. We have enuf enemies"

So.........he can be critical of others, but when his wife does it.........??????

Because he's the perfect champion of the right. What he does and desires is righteous, and all that oppose him are wrong and evil. The details matter very little.

Yes. I'll agree that is hypocritical to blame Mrs. Obama for something he didn't call his Wife out on.

However, he says he WILL NOT bow to Saudi Kings as Obama did...

AND....

Unlike Obama, he told the Saudi Kingdom they are oppressive of Women and should allow other Religions to practice their Faith inside the Kingdom as other free people can do.

Now, do you think it was wrong for an American President representing our values to say those things to the Saudi Sheiks?

If not, why didn't Obama?

See....the details matter not. Righteousness versus left.

I asked a specific question about Trump's behavior over there vs Obama's after you correctly pointed out his obvious hypocrisy over Melania vs Michelle.

Now be honest and as "non partisan" as you accuse others of being "partisan" and answer my question in post #3

I think it's wrong for anyone to attempt to tell someone how to practice their religion, if it's not a religion that is shared between the two. That said, I think pushing any religious morality over human rights is extremely primitive.

I do agree with you about this in principle (dictating how one should believe). However you have often stated that it is equally wrong to deny anyone their free choice to Worship correct?

So why shouldn't an American President representing our values be unafraid to stand for those on Foreign soil...letting our allies as well as our adversaries know what we believe and advocate?

Why would we NOT expect an American President to stand up for our values instead of "apologize" for them?

You don't see this HUGE difference between how Trump is handling his role over there as our representative and how Obama viewed his role in the same setting?

I don't think Obama apologized for American values, I think Obama made it clear that we do not wish for a pox Americana. That we are open to the concept of respecting other ideas of morality and life.

I must have missed it......could you please provide the link or quote where Trump looked at the Saudi leaders and told them they oppressed women. Seriously, I did not see or remember this.....perhaps it was all that "fake" news I was reading..........

....IF he said this, then it is a double hypocrisy on his part. One for his wife not wearing a scarf, and one for "we have enuff enemies" statement.

I most certainly disagree with you that he didn't "apologize" for our own history of oppression and Religious intolerance.

He most certainly was correct to insist on the idea of respecting other ideas of morality and Life, but where was his condemnation of the Kingdom's Religious oppression on the part of Women and Christians?

He admitted to our own racial and bigoted past, but excused them of their current misogynistic, paternalistic Religious intolerance!

Of course you didn't!

You watch those sycophants and insist you're being informed.

I assure you they heard that message from an American President defending our values much more strenuously than they did from the last American President who couldn't be bothered with such trivia.

The main news media just doesn't think this is important enough to report to you:

except from article

“What President Trump is seeking is to unite people of all faiths around a common vision of peace, progress and prosperity. He will bring a message of tolerance and of hope to billions, including to millions of Americans who profess these faiths,” Mr. McMaster said during a briefing at the White House"

You also "missed" the Margaret Sanger story...you know the one about her believing all Black people should be eliminated like weeds?

You probably also missed the story of Hillary saying she (Sanger) was a "woman of vision" whom she 'admired'?

But I can understand why you missed those blockbusters MountaineerWV...it's because that "fake news" you're watching didn't bother to bring that little slice of Leftist reality to your T-V screen.

Oh well...ignorance is bliss right my Man?

I was only responding to the statement you made in post #9 MountaineerWV ("Seriously, I did not see or remember this.....perhaps it was all that "fake" news I was reading")

I did mistakenly assume you were a consumer of main stream T-V news, so I do congratulate you on avoiding that at least and I join you in believing watching it is a total waste of time.

(probably why I prefer forums like this and alternative news sources)

That is my opinion MountaineerWV because he (Obama) refused to condemn them for it, or call them out for it when he was there.

We on the other hand allow Women to work, worship & vote and also kill their offspring at taxpayer expense (something even those Religious intolerant folks don't allow) yet the Left still screams in this country that our Woman are "oppressed" and political hacks like Obama agree!

Go figure.

I understood "see" to mean on T-V, since I was talking about Trump's visit over there and what was NOT being covered.

MountaineerWV, I linked you to two articles where Trump plans to make this clear to the Saudi leadership.

He's still there, I'm not sure if he's actually said it yet, but he certainly intends to make that clear to them. Cameras or reporters are not allowed in when he is having face-to-face talks, so I can only assume that the answer to your question has already been made clear privately.

However, in international diplomacy they always make things appear "diplomatic" and it's not likely to be reported that Trump got up into the Saudi King's face and expressed that sentiment bluntly.

However as I posted, and the articles I linked you to make clear, Trump certainly intends to make that part of his agenda while visiting over there.

Has he said it yet to their faces? I'm honestly not sure.

Is it part of his agenda in terms of items to discuss?

Yes, absolutely.

Despite what your boy says, that election was not a landslide (esp since the other candidate won the popular).

Be careful about the Russians ATL. I don't know what happened at all, but neither do you. I doubt this is all political smoke though, and I think we will end up seeing some indictments.

And it's peculiar that Trump would have the nerve to lecture ANYONE on respecting women. Oh I know, I know it's just locker room talk, and all real men do it. You do know there are plenty of other quotes from the man that disrespect women, and frankly if his attitudes towards women is reflective of American values.....I'm appalled.

Boomer I was as outraged over Trump's boasting as anyone, but I just found it amusing that the same folks who gave Clinton a pass for actually abusing a minor in the White House were so mortified by something Trump allegedly only said!

OK, so Hillary "won" the coveted "popular vote" in the last election.

I don't think the Russians even know how American voters make up their minds on who to vote for, much less how to change them.

Hillary lost that election because she ran a terrible campaign with no coherent message and she was a lousy candidate. For true Leftist believers, Bernie Sanders was better candidate, but it was the Democrat party and NOT the Russians who made sure he never got a fair chance against her.

See, I don't know if you expect that post to somehow upset me? I understand how obsessed with "winning" many in the US are, but Clinton wasn't someone I was passionate about at all. And maybe you are enjoying the "sting" of loss in liberals, and cherishing the "glory" of victory in your chosen candidate's election, but we all win and lose based on the candidate's actions in office my friend.

Monica was 22 years old when it first took place......that was in 1995 when she received her internship at the White House.......Monica was born in 1973........

But, again, facts aren't that important when you are trying to distort them.....

Asking an 18 yr old to polish my knob isnt disrespectful to women, IMO. Most of them enjoy it.

Saying a woman should be judged on her looks....is
Saying a woman is for taking care of children...is
Physically grabbing a woman without consent....is
