I agree, but I am not sure that he was out of line for calling out a company for punishing his daughter for being his daughter either.
Nordstrom stated their reasons very clearly, and reiterated them after Trump's complaints today. A business is allowed to make a business decision. Honestly, it really doesn't matter why they chose to drop the line. That's not a topic that a president should be addressing with a company. That's a topic a business man might want to address with a company. And that's why people were so concerned about Trump not divesting himself of his business interests. If he's openly doing this for his daughter's company, what's he doing for his own?

I am sure they are going to come out and say they did it for political reasons. Why am I not shocked that somehow this horseshit gets spun into him doing things for his business. I am honestly embarrassedd for you guys. This is stupid.

Do you have any proof to refute that Nordstrom did this because of a drop in sales of the line?

I'm not saying that politics can't play a role in this, but I think that role was played by consumers, not Nordstrom. If Nordstrom wanted to make this political, they drop the line last year or mid-year, not now.

You also stated that Nordstrom is closing a bunch of stores. If you characterize 2 out 123 in the US and Canada as "a lot", then I think you are alone. They closed one in the San Diego area last year - 3 other stores remain in that metro area though. They have plans to close one store in Santa Ana, CA this year. They must not have any idea how to run a business. I mean Macy's is only closing 63 stores in the next few months - just as a point of comparison in the same business.

I didn't vote for either major party candidate. I expected to "lose" the election. I'm simply saying that a business making a decision whether or not to sell Ivanka Trump's clothing line shouldn't be the concern of President Trump. It can be the private concern of Donald Trump, Ivanka's father, but he's not a private citizen now. He shouldn't be airing his grievances about a business decision that impacts his daughter's line of clothing as part of his role as president. I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but it's mixing family money with politics. It's not good.

I bet Ivanka makes more bank in a week than your sorry *** makes in a year.
Maybe. Not sure how much a "socialite" makes. Donnie's probably paying her a nice government check to stand near him for photos.

Only point that matters is Nordstrom made a business decision Biff is using his bully pulpit to make it political.
Which only makes him look worse. Grow up for Christ's sake and be a PRESIDENT; not some spoiled rich kid.

I am not wrong. The guy on the TV who said it was wrong. I was wrong to listen to him. I know the store in Pittsburgh is closing according to the news.
Well, ya' know dave, you can't trust the dishonest media. [laughing][laughing][laughing]

It happens. It was on pittsburgh local news so who knows. He made it sound like Amazon was taking over the world
I think it depends on the markets, some aren't the Nordstrom type, I think they find. I believe they are looking for a second location in Atlanta or the 'burbs somewhere.
