You really can't make this shiznit up

Ole Miss flips their own recruit! Hahahaha. That's hilarious. These Bear recruits love the spotlight but don't give a **** about football. Awesome

As much **** as they give our recruits,
Maybe they should just go after whoever we do. Because we surely whip that *** on the reg.

Not as fun as November was - wait, got to edit this.

Pretty sure December and the following 10 months will be. Then we'll start over.

Restoring their self esteem via recruiting rankings

And theatrics is becoming an annual event. I hate to say this and don't take it seriously but if The Spirit was a geographic location I would have no problem with calling in an air strike. There just can't be a worse group of fans anywhere.

You'll

have to excuse my ignorance on the subject of OM's recruiting class, but wasn't he already committed to them? Why hold a press conference, if so?

While I don't understand the press conference, everyone and their mother assumed he was going to flip to Bama. Not that I'm condoning it, but, I think the kid just wanted a little attention. He was our first commit of the 2014 class and didn't get to create a spectacle apparently. Hell, he took to twitter the last few days and wrote cryptic messages and then deleted them all in order to drum up interest.

I know yall want it to be some massive Ole Miss conspiracy, but I would highly doubt this was some orchestrated event. Most of us sweated this out (and more than a few assumed he was gone). There are some that even think that CJ committed to us but will actually sign papers with Bama.

Oh, come on... really? Of course it was. It's the same every single year... every OM recruit the past decade has put on a hat spectacle. Hampton wanted his turn.

I will say I've never seen a school flip their own recruit... well done, though. If anyone could pull it off, it'd be OM.

If you

honestly don't think this was some PR stunt that OM had a hand in, then I guess there's no use replying any further.

But EVERYONE was saying that he was gone to Bama. I am pretty sure it was "reported" on this board as well.

So was the interest from bama fake as well? Maybe we just paid Saban to "recruit" our boy CJ and try to steal him away from us too?

I don't

follow OM recruiting on twitter, so you'll have to excuse me.

So youre saying SPS had a hand in his decision in his PC (in a way), and OM had no part? Ok.

You don't even believe what you wrote. THAT is what you took away from my comment? That SPS had a hand in it? Are you really trying to twist my words that badly? Come on man. That's weak.

I also don't follow OM Recruiting on twitter. In fact, I don't even do twitter. I only read when people post things on message boards about these tweets.

You are reaching for a legitimate answer. It's always an Ole Miss conspiracy of some sort. My god. I thought you were one of the more sane posters on here.

You were

the one saying he had to have a press conf bc people, such as posters on here, were "reporting" he was going to Alabama? How am I the crazy one? BC I happen to believe Freezus is full of ********?

I didn't say he HAD to have a press conference. In fact, the first thing I ever posted was that I didn't understand why he had to do it. I then went on to say that he probably did it for attention. Never once did I say that it was needed. I just told you WHY he did probably did it.

Also, if you think Freeze is full of ********, that is perfectly fine. I have no problem with that. But, drt said that this happens every year with Ole Miss recruits. So, is this a Freeze thing? Or a perfectly orchestrated Ole Miss plot that is passed on from generations of Ole Miss coaches to the next?

Do you not realize Chris Jones did a very similar thing just last year for you all. He was committed forever. Started getting recruited hard late in the game and then a had a press conference to again commit to State. Dont act like this isnt just a 17-18 year old kid wanting attention. We arent going to put our very highly recruited guy in enemy waters at a place like Bama for fun and just hope he stays with us. Most Ole Miss fans I know were very worried we had lost CJ and almost everyone in the press was sure of it as well.

I'd definitely

say it's something aimed at appeasing your fanbase. Y'all eat that **** up and ask for seconds.

You do realize Jones' ceremony was on signing day, where he actually signed with State. Hampton held a conference to announce he was committing to Ole Miss like he was two weeks ago. So basically he held a presser to say he put his promise ring back on.

It is an Ole Miss thing. And your fanbase eats it up with a spoon....so it obviously works. The powers that be knows the level of importance the Ole Miss fanbase puts on it.

You do realize that CJ is an EE and already had his financial aid papers into us Bama and FSU so whoever he picked he could start school as soon as the classes start in jan right? So no its not that much different.

Yeah everyone knew he was going to bama

That's why yancy let everyone know yesterday morning he was headed to meridian to cover it, and ended his post with the shades emoticon he is known for
