Mark Schlabach<s>@</s>Mark_Schlabach Hearing loser here goes to Cotton Bowl and <s>#</s>Aggies go to Capital One. <s>#</s>Gamecocks to Outback and <s>#</s>LSU to Chick-fil-A

When is the last time the loser of the SEC Champ game (not named Mississippi State) has went lower than the Capitol one?

Makes no sense. Capitol one is right there for GA if they lose. Why would you send GA to the cotton and aTm to the Capitol one when It would make both teams cross the south bringing fewer fans.

I think Arky lost the championship game one year, think it was 2003, and went to the Music City Bowl. The West must've sucked that year.

They said earlier that neither aTm nor the SEC wanted aTm to play Texas in the Cotton bowl so they were going to the Cap One with the loser of this game going to the Cotton.

Vandy may actually deserve it over State but Gator Bowl knows we'll bring a crowd...Vandy might too, but they don't know that they will.

Last I heard was our guys havent even as much as had a conversation with the Birmingham people- so we are Gator or Music City bound

I could understand aTm, but why wouldn't the SEC want that? That would guarantee a guarantee a large amount of viewers.

How about Ga Tech

They're playing in the ACC game in a few minutes, and if they win they go to the Orange. If they lose, they'll be 6-7 and had to have special permission from the NCAA to even go to a bowl.

Would the SEC and aTm buy the empty seats at the Capitol One and Cotton because less fans would make the trip? They could sell standing room only tickets in Orlando to GA fans. Every eye in Texas will be on that screen to watch the Cotton bowl.

In all honesty, it probably Texas rooting the hardest for aTm to the Cap One.

It's an extremely good thing, at least for MSU, that the SEC doesn't get the call on who goes where.

South Carolina went to the Chick Fil a bowl in 2010 after losing the Sec Champ..

game to AU... In all honesty all of the Florida bowls run together for me. Who really cares if it's the Outback, Gator or Capt. One they all seem the same. I think the Cotton Bowl stands out due to when it's played and the venue/stadium.

UGA doesn't want to go back to central FL. They go there almost every year. Buck Belue has maintained all week that both UGA and Bama have already negotiated themselves into Cotton, should they lose. Also, FL had already secured Sugar as of Monday. Not to mention, Cotton has much more cache these days, with the venue and the date it falls on, being the only game on that date just before the national championship game.
