The media is now feeding the hype without verifying what actually goes on.
National scouts and recruiting gurus never have a clue what goes on between OM and MSU. They have bought in without confirming anything. This morning a bunch of national recruiting analysts were tweeting how Jones was in Oxford and they didn't name any sources or write any stories. Then we found out he had his in home with Dan and was in Starkville with his mom and boom, not a soul but MSU reporters cover that.
The national guys have bought into the hype without following the facts. His actions today and for all but 2 days out of his entire recruiting process say he's going to MSU. He's stayed committed, he's told our media guys, OMs media guys, and our coaching staff that he's still committed and that he's coming to MSU. But the national media wants their hot story, OM needs to push it to keep fan interest up, so they are going to get every bit out of it they can. We've all seen recently how national media folks can run with something without checking all the facts. That is happening here.
I still think Tunsil to UGA and Jones to MSU. Nkemdiche and Conner to OM. Good class for them. Top 10 most likely. But still a good class for us and frankly, that is all that matters. One good class does not define a good program.
