Btw I got those quotes from KSR. I was just trying to relay info on the team and chat about the twins. Out of high school I thought they would flat out dominate. Still love them but was expecating that John wall type of domination. And no I'm not comparing the three. Totally different players.

What if the Twins stand all 4 yrs and led UK to a three-peat and caught UCLA in the process?
Would that justify twin statutes in front of Rupp?

If anybody thinks there is any chance they play another year at UK go ahead and get that thought out of your head. 0% chance they come back.

Adam Zagoria is constantly throws around the "says one veteran NBA scout" line in all his comments about UK players. It's easy to fabricate a story when your source is the anonymous "one veteran scout". FYI, Zagoria is a homer for all New York/New Jersey teams, namely St.Johns and Steve Lavin. Who was Briscoe down to before he picked UK? St.Johns! Sow the seed of doubt with Briscoe and voila, St. Johns is back in the picture. Signed LOI or not. Fabricated CLUTTER.

I love Ulis and think he is a great player. But give me Andrew all day, every day. Our best 5 on the floor are easily Andrew, Aaron, Booker, KAT, Willie

At crunch time in grind it out situations against tough opponents the Twins have been and will be the difference between losing and winning. And that's why Calipari and every other decent college coach will/would have the Twins in the game when those moments arise.

Ulis and Booker are great freshmen, but both have benefited from a platoon system (as have the Twins) which tends to minimize some potential exploitable issues. I really doubt that this team would win a championship with Ulis and Booker playing 30+ minutes a game this season. I think the key to this season was the Twins' decision to come back. Ulis and Booker combine with the Twins (and Hawkins) to make a great backcourt, but take away the Twins and we're not going all the way.

New era cat .. I've been reading the board for 10 year or more now. Used to get the catspause magazine out in new mexico. I know how people are on here. Cap monkey for you I'll say this... If they win us a title the whole team can go pro and I'll be happy as can be. I understand a run like this won't happend maybe again in my life time. We are UK and will always be good and relevant. But to have the talent we have had over the calipari years is simply amazing. It's why I sit back and enjoy the ride. Never to high never to low. We are in such a good place as a program and fan base. I hope we go 40-0 but if we don't, I'll be the guy posting saying stay calm enjoy this ride. This is going to be special. Go big blue._________________________________________________________________________________________________

Get used to it OP. Around here, the most important metric of your basketball knowledge and fandom is post count. Yours clearly identifies you as a poser, troll, baiter, and UL fan.

Try padding your post count by selecting non-controversial threads (e.g., Why I love Cal as our coach) and add a bunch of "+1" and "This ^^^^^^" comments until you get your count up to at least a couple thousand or more. You will find your street cred will rise dramatically among the experts on this board.

Just some advice from a fellow poser, troll, baiter.

I believe they are gone, if not it will really be hard for playing time with new recruits added in, unless Booker and Ulis go.

My feelings on the subject....

I really think Aaron is underrated. Name me another player who bailed out his team with clutch threes three games in a row in March. Name me one. Maybe his percentage isn't what scouts would like, but his percentage in the clutch is much higher than most. He has become a very good defensive player. Not great, but way ahead of where he was last year.

I think Andrew still is searching for an identity. What kind of point guard am I? What kind does Coach want me to be? What kind do scouts want me to be? The best thing he could do is develop a stop-and-pop shot on his many drives to the rim. Learn to bank it with back spin, it's much more forgiving that way and the chances of an offensive putback go way up. Nobody can make the Archie Goodwin shot because it's almost impossible to make.

Whenever they decide to come out, both will be drafted. People act like that kind of size at the guard spot just grows on trees or something. They can teach you how to shoot in the NBA, but they can't teach size. They've both had their games more poked and prodded at than any UK player I can remember, especially Andrew.

I don't think either will ever be stars in the league, but I can see both having Keith Bogans type careers. There's not one thing any of them do extremely well, but they're sound ball players with terrific size and strength.

They both almost have to leave. I really don't think they have any other choice. Theyre at their ceiling in terms of what they can do in college. They aren't growing. They wont be maturing into better athletes. Theyre basically a finished product right now.

I think they'll get drafted. Although it would be interesting to see what kind of free agent offers they get if they don't get drafted.

One of their biggest flaws as players, imo, is their tendency to play to the competition. They play so much better in clutch situations because they simply play harder and with better focus; otherwise theyre lackadaisical much of the time. For example, look at Andrews late game drive to the rim against Vandy. If he went that hard all the time, hed be unstoppable.

I don't see much logic in another year for the twins, unless their stock continues to fall to the point they don't believe they will be picked up by a team. I'm very grateful they came back, but truth be told they probably should have gone last year, especially Aaron... I think we were all kind of hoping for another year from Devin, but he may turn out to be the best pro on our team. Not draft stock wise, but as far as contributing to a pro team we may look at it 6 or 7 years from now and find that he has been the best.

IMHO the twins won't be appreciated until they are gone. they are a huge asset to our team and Ulis isn't anywhere near them yet.

Aaron's problem is just consistency. That can easily be fixed. I love Aaron and have zero problem with how he plays. Andrew is another story. Many times he enters a selfish mode and is going to try and get his come hell or high water. If it's late in the shot clock and Andrew gets the ball you can bet your life he will be the one to shoot.

Andrew looks like a borderline top 20 pick when he's playing to pass first and score only when he's open or should. But more often than not he forces things and tries to score first and pass second.

That said, I'd certainly be will to lose Briscoe if it meant another year of the twins. Even if Bricsoe and Andrew were here at the same time Andrew would still be starting. I'm afraid many will be in for a let down next year with Briscoe because they expect an awesome OAD type talented pg. The pg's in this class are very weak and I'm not sold that he's even the best pg in the class

That said I expect the twins to leave no matter what after the year. It's too hard to stay a second year when you enter college expectin only a one year stay, let alone having to stay 3 years. I just don't think 3 years is gonna happen.

Call it clutter or whatever. It's just what comes with having Cal. We love what he's doing but some don't want to talk about all that comes with it. We can't just relax and enjoy a season because we have to have endless speculation about who's leaving and why or who's staying and why or who's coming and why, ad infinitum, ad nauseum..

To the poster who said they would have Keith Bogan type nba careers, that's a great analogy. Also to the other poster who said they won't be appreciated until they are gone, that to is probably very true. Sad but true. I think if they hang number 9 they will be extremely appreciated. Last years run will forever have Aaron in our annuals of time. Win a natty and your in the annuals forever.

The twins are great... I'm really glad we have them. It's funny how some people can forget what it was like when they announced their decision to return last year. All of BBN was excited and everyone else shared a collective "oh sh*t" moment. They seem like such good guys too and I will always hope for them to stay. Over the past couple years there were a couple other bigger guys that had obviously checked out and I was ready for them to move on, but I don't see anyone on this team like that. I've enjoyed watching this team more than any team I can remember and they wouldn't be the same without Aaron and Andrew.
