Marrow??? What position does he coach?
Don't mean to pile on, but you should know this coach. He is our best recruiter, especially in Ohio. It was a big deal this summer when we had to give him a big raise to keep him. Michigan was after him. His coaching duties is with tight ends.

offer the man a raise. if he takes it then maybe the rest will look for other jobs because there jealous. then offer the ones you want to keep and let the rest go. that way you didn't fire them but you got what you wanted.

And you respond to my post calling me clueless. WOW!

So let me get this straight. You have been claiming the the entire staff should be fired, yet you don't even know their names or anything else about them? Lol!!! That is funny.

Wonder if it would make a difference if Cal went to Rivals and demanded you never post about football again? One could only hope.

I dont care really...i remember last offseason everyone was worried Marrow was gonna leave...did it make one bit of difference that he stayed? Did it? 5-7 again this year...him staying mattered little in final outcome of wins and losses. I'm sure he will be targeted again this offseason if he is as valuable as you guys say.

His staying or going has a huge difference in our football program, we have a 16 class so far that has five commits from Kentucky, five from other states, and TWELVE from the state of Ohio (counting Ross, a JC)------which is where Marrow recruits. One big reason Michigan wanted him. He also had a HUGE impact on the class in 14, our best class ever, you should check the list of HIGHLY regarded players we have gotten from Ohio in large part due to his recruiting, of course Stoops being from there also has a big influence.

Were you there?

At the sinking of the Titanic, I mean, I mean I thought one of the problems was that it sank fairly rapidly. Now .Stooops ship may sink, but so far it is a very slow process, since, so far, with a terrible record for the past SEVERAL games, Stoops and Troops have lost ZERO commits, the most important thing to me. This despite the fan base in general not helping a thing by trying bail out as fast as they can.

And last year when we had the rash of decommits it seems to me we added some of our most talented recruits to take their place.

Oh the irony in this statement. Our "history", and most others, also says that it takes more than 3 years to recruit, develop, and build talent on a football team. When dealing with Kentucky, our "history" also says that changing coaches every three years has not been very successful either.
So, it sounds to me like you support that way of thinking....which makes you one of the "fools" that helps to sink the ship.

I see the sunshine pumpers are out in full force tonite! it doesnt matter if you get alabamas recruitng class every year, these guys are in over their heads! 8 men on the field? run the ball against auburn with NO TIMEOUTS and 15 seconds left? countless costly penalties, terrible clock management, bowing down to crybaby players, terrible special team play, i could go on and on, that is all COACHING

Tell Georgia if they take Anysley, they have to take Dawson with him.

Rumor is we are going to get an OC from the state of Ky. Tyson Helton from Western is rumored to be the choice, I know the offense has put up some big numbers but just don't know how much he had to do with it. His brother was Smart's first choice, I think they are brothers, but he got the SoCal job. He wasn't my top guy but my neck ain't on the line if it don't work out. This is suppose to be announced in a week or so if its true. I have no idea about Ansley other than Kirby's said he was an option. I really hope Pruitt decides to stay and he is a DB coach.

Ahhh...the ole sunshine pumper comment. Again, the irony of your comments. First, you have no idea what is going on in the locker room or with each player, or, how the issues were handled. So to say the coaches "bowed down to crybaby players" without you knowing anything, well, makes you look ridiculous. Also, I wonder if you, and the other people who told you about the 15 seconds to go in the Auburn game, even watch the games. Towles scrambled on a passing play on 4th down and was tackled short of the line to gain. That is what need the game, and that was with 25 seconds left to go. So, wrong again.
So again, the irony of you calling out the coaches for getting thing wrong, and then post the comments you do is very telling.

but see, I DO KNOW. the problem is, you dont know who i know. and besides the fact that you are a sunshine pumper, these guys have proven time after time, they are in over their heads. everyone can see that except the pumpers. this staff is a laughing stock. and next year will be worse, harder schedule and several more players ARE going to leave. take my word for it, and remember this conversation

Well yeah some are going to leave. Happens every year to every program. And you don't know who I know either. Doesn't make me right or you wrong. I have my sources too. Which appear to have a very different view the your sources. Let's just say that neither of us truly know, as neither of us were there when these things take place.

Does that mean Georgia's DB's will play with their back to the quarterback from now on?

No idea, but if we are playing man I expect them to have their backs to the qb a good bit. But we don't have the players to play much man so I expect us to be a zone team most of the time, at least for awhile.

Please man. Not defending the other guy don't know him but from my short time on here it's obvious to me that you're the most clueless one that posts here by a large margin. I really don't have anything bad to say about anyone on this boards knowledge for the most part except you.

Please you all don't listen to merriman he tried to claim a win against USC this year was a quality win and said the win was equivalent to a win against Florida last year had we beaten them. The guy truly doesn't have a clue. And he claimed stoops has proven to be a good coach thus far because Kentucky has apparently, according to merriman, improved every year since being here. What a joke.

No how about you get lost! You are too busy whining about coach cal yelling to even know who our coaches, a very important one on top of that. You can never put your 2 cents on this football team again.
The Head coach is holding the offensive coordinator back from doing his job! Watch the sidelines from last year. He ( Stoops) shadowed Dawson last year especially after the first game. And Stoops is a DC not an OC! Or. Head coach for that matter!

You guys can hammer me all you want..i dont care...i like these forums..l love to discuss on both football and basketball. You guys want to vote me off or kick me off that is certainly your choice. Doesn't mean im a troll or not qualified to speak cuz i didnt know Marrow coached the tight ends

Nah man. I think people are just pissed cause we all thought we would see improvement this year and it was a trainwreck. There is the off season to charge the battery and that includes the fan base. The internetz are a ruff crowd fellas.

This is a big loss. I think the db's could have done a better job looking for the ball but 5 freshman played back there this year and they were the strongest point of the defense. Add in the southern recruiting and it sucks. We're not going to keep Jordan Griffin.

Yeah, you show your true knowledge to. You saying that i am more clueless for saying USC was a good win than a guy who says a coach should be fired without even knowing who he is or position he coaches makes you look ridiculous as well.
By the way, I stand by my statement the USC was a good win for US, as it is something we haven't been able to do consistently over the last 15 years.

It was a quality win AT THE TIME. Yes, they eventually lost to the Citadel. But we beat them a week or two after they beat UNC, who is a very highly ranked team.
It was week 2, the week after they beat UNC. They are UNCS only loss. And not to mention, we beat them with their starting QB who was lost for weeks after sustaining an injury during our game.

Exactly. I know its easy to look at them now and claim they werent a good win. But that was a great win at the time. Especially on the road.

Ok good job assuming I'm someone that I'm not. You're a real winner. And since when did I mess up knowing what position a coach is coaching? I know all the coaches and their job titles I follow Kentucky football. I've read these boards for a long time. And didn't decide to post til after the season because my rage levels went thru the roof after the UL game. I did read where you compared a win against USC to a win against Florida last year had we beaten saying that USC this year was just as good as UF last year. That was your way of trying to make logic of that win being a quality win, when that is simply not true. I didn't post here at that time. But I'm a long time reader and have read the nonsense you write over time. You sir are the worst poster here IMO. I don't have anything bad to say about anyone but you really. If someone thinks you bring something to the table then fine, but your opinions are usually not opinions more like wishful thinking, fictional lies from fairy tale land. You also said stoops was a good coach and said it was a fact because Kentucky has improved ever year since being. Which is simply not true. We did not improve since the year before. We have the same record this year. Only difference is a wayyyy easier schedule. You have no grounds to stand by saying stoops is a good coach. He may become one. Doubtful, but maybe. But right now that just simply isn't true, we have not improved every year like you claim.

Jesus how silly can you be? We thought they were a good win 2 games in correct. But turns out it was a win against the worst team in the SEC. Just because at the time you think a team is good, doesn't mean they're good. They lost to an FCS team. They are atrocious. Merriman tried to claim it was a good win at which point USC was 3-7. And his way of proving that was by saying this years USC team is as good as last years Florida team. Welp merriman has someone that shares his opinion. Hilarious. Way to make light out of everything. If this years USC team is considered a good win then I guess every win no matter who it is against is a quality win. Makes sense.

And merriman was saying it was a quality win like 2 or 3 weeks ago when it had already became obvious that it wasn't a quality win. Even when we beat them no one thought they were going to be good this year. No one thought UNC was good at the time either. In fact everyone considers that loss for UNC a pathetic loss for that UNC team. We thought it was a good win at the time yes, I agree. Merriman tried to claim it was a good win at which point USC was 3-7 and he was using it to prove his point of stoops being a good coach by comparing this USC team to last years Florida team. Point is, merriman is clueless.

Man I agree, I hate for a DB to just face the receiver and not look for the ball. Makes no sense to me that a coach even wants that. Be no picks if you have no clue where the ball is.

I never said you didn't know the coaches. I said you defended someone who didn't and said they were more knowledgeablethan me. Reading in its entirety helps.
Also, you said you read my comments about USC and UF. I know you did since it was you I was responding to. And if you remember, I explained many times that I was not referring to the quality of team. I was referring to the fact of them being big wins for us. Of course, leaving that part out would hurt your agenda.
