Stanley is the real deal
11tds and over 500 yards rushing in 2 games. That's video game numbers. Just so everyone knows, I'm no Edenton fan, but Tarboro better take notice because Holmes is slowly getting better and the day may come when Tarboro is no longer the team to beat in the East. Chowan County is loaded with talent and now they have a coaching staff that is one of the tops in the state.

What teams did he pur up numbers like that on? At SWO no back will ever put up numberes like that either. Way to many backs. Never a one horse team. Hope he can stay healthy

Both games were played in Edenton. The first game was against First Flight and the second was against a private school from Richmond Va. I know these schools aren't the best but regardless those numbers are still really impressive. Northeastern plays that Richmond school in a few weeks. They don't have a football field and have to play all their games on the road. I beleven Edenton will give us all we can handle. It will not be an easy game and it's at their house.

The Aces roster only shows 6 players above 200 lbs. I think that can be a problem in the playoffs.

It will be a problem just like it was in 2016 and 2017 but until then we will get by with speed and execution. Every year we are the smallest team on the field in every game we play.

It could be but at the same time Holmes roster matches up very close with 3A power Havelock. Many times speed factors in more than size. Like I stated earlier, I'm no Edenton fan, I'm a Northeastern Eagle. I do pull for them though in the playoffs and I know that Tarboro is king of the hill until someone in the east can take them out. I think Edenton has a great chance this year to do just that.

Edenton night slowly be getting better my friend but with all do respect Tarboro is the team to beat they destroyed Edenton last year with their D1 running back and supposedly stout defense. If Edenton played Tarboro right now it would be a massacre for Edenton Tarboro would obliterate them trust me on that

Oh and by the way the reason you don’t see Tarboro with a single RB with those types of numbers is bc they are so deep at that position

I agree with everything everyone is saying about Tarboro. They are king of the hill deservedly so and it is not even close. I would like to point out in Holmes’ last two games Stanley has had 10 and 7 carries so he is not getting those yards and TDs just because we are constantly feeding him the ball.

Edenton’s offense is built for the big play. A weak defense will give up multiple 40 - 50 - 60 yard plays when facing the option with their speed. I give Stanley a lot of credit. He is fast and athletic and worthy of recognition. Of course, this is a team sport and Tarboro is neck deep in fast running backs. But that “D” is nasty and I look forward to this future matchup. I hope Stanley stays healthy because I want to see him at his best. I will probably be in Edenton for the Northeastern game. Should be fun.

Thanks for your respectful post and you are spot on. Later when I can look it up, I will give you an example of the length of Stanley’s TDs which prove your point. I hope you do come to the NE-Holmes game because it is usually a dogfight even if one team is signicantly better than the other. Let me know if you do come because there are a number of fun places to go pre-game downtown and the stadium is only five blocks from downtown.

Yes thanks for being respectful unlike the other poster. He's lost all credibility with me and I won't even acknowledge his post. Keep in mind, I'm no Edenton fan, I bleed green and gold.

Bertie impressing so far. Holmes 30 Bertie 18 at half. Stanley not getting his usual yards per carry but at half still has 206 yards on 16 carries.
