sounds like the coaching staff agreed to part ways with him. I’ll trust their judgement over a guy with 25+ profiles on a message board...

A whole lot of spinning is going on up in Morgantown. The kid may have had issues, but HCNB used to gush often about how good he was last season.

But Neal Brown doesn't bend over for those that think they're better than the program. Rules are rules for a reason.

Perhaps Marshall should go after him. After all they don't believe in rules.

When Neal Brown sent his kids home for a week before the bowl, Smith was late coming back by three days and never told anyone why or before hand.

Said he was in a minor accident but went back to Philadelphia.

So when he got back the staff told him he was not starting in the bowl game and he blew up on coaches and stormed out of the Puskar Center and went back to his apartment and did not practice.

Next time they saw him was on the flight to the bowl game abs thus he never played in the bowl but one series.

Hard decision....

There are coaches who have won at a high level who would have started him.
Jimmy Johnson straight said he had different rules for different players. Just matter who you were.

What is more important truthfully is the reasoning for what happened and why he wasn't upfront about things

Jimmy said his play makers were given much more freedom.
