6'7" right now he's still growing I'm sure. It's refreshing to hear he's going to work with a trainer because his jump shot is poor for a tweener size wise. He is a guy who is able to get by with power drives that work in HS/AAU that he'll need to provide more of a consistent jumper to transfer to next level. May initially cost him his #1 spot-but would help him in the long term. 6'7 guys who are strong/athletic and skilled are valuable. Guys who can shoot it as well are Pros.
Been about the same for 3 yrs now. Guys like him impress when they are 15......and when they still play the same when they are 18/19 it's time to get in the gym. Which is why I complimented him. The way he plays now won't work against the size and athletes you see in big time programs and would make him a dime a dozen type player for NBA people. If you can't shoot the ball, you better be 6'10+ and a rim protecting big or a defensive stopper.6'7" right now he's still growing I'm sure.
There are not a lot of guys like him. I've posted before that he is one of the few kids I've seen give Cooper Flagg the business on the offensive end. Him at 18 or 19 would be the same as it is now. Without a double team he is a bucket.Been about the same for 3 yrs now. Guys like him impress when they are 15......and when they still play the same when they are 18/19 it's time to get in the gym. Visiting UK this week. May 15-17
Fine. I've seen him disappear when teams play off him, dare him to make a jumper and have athletes with size who can rim protect. It's a compliment to the player to want to get better and I did that, but 6'6/6'7 bully ball guys are a dime a dozen. Which is why I give him credit if he's working on his game. There are not a lot of guys like him. RDF, what would you rank Stokes in the 26 class? Do you think he will be an impact player in college?Fine. I'm not Ralph but I've seen Stokes as the #1 overall ranked 26' recruit. Haven't seen him play but I assume the #1 overall is dang good.RDF, what would you rank Stokes in the 26 class? Do you think he will be an impact player in college?
As poster below said-he'll obviously be an impact guy--just needs to develop a consistent jumper to take him next level and help him when he wants to get to the NBA level. Bully Ball isn't the way to advance his career at his size beyond CBB or even in CBB especially if he chose to play in the SEC.RDF, what would you rank Stokes in the 26 class? Abdou Toure probably will end up with local school UconnAs poster below said-he'll obviously be an impact guy--just needs to develop a consistent jumper to take him next level and help him when he wants to get to the NBA level. '26 class is one that I think you could see a lot of movement of guys who get ranked #1. Has a lot of talented PG prospects which has been lean in the last few years-but also has some guys who could elevate their status with a big Summer/SR year. Saw that David Sisk wrote about a guy who is getting a lot of attention from people this Spring and has massive upside in 6'10 Toni Bryant. Know my friend is very high on Abdou Toure from BABC and West Haven CT Notre Dame School as well as a guy who can make a massive leap this Summer. Elite athlete who is a warrior on the court.
Cal has been after this kid also..
After seeing this vid, I see why he is ranked # 1. I hope he winds up playing for UK. I think I would take him over anyone in the 2025 class.
I think you get him and then let him play whatever position he wants! Here’s my question, is he a SF or a PF in college?
6’7, 245 with a weak jumper screams college PF to me.
But, of course, it’s all about getting to the NBA, so he’s got to work on the jumper, which I commend him for doing.
But in college, won’t coaches play him at the 4 with his size, sterngth, and athleticism?
Seems like he could dominate inside in college.
I think the Cats have a better shot than most suspect.UL or Kansas for this one.
