See...told 'ya! (I was making an off handed joke, and you stepped right in it)

I challenge you Op2 to point out to me where you can find that (Separation of Church and State) in the Constitution?

Direct me to the specific language.

Did I say those words were in the Constitution?

It is not in the Constitution

Op2 thinks it is, he said so in post #74.

Typical Leftist mind control talking points.

All of them think that's really in the Constitution Pax, but what would you expect from folks who hate it (Constitution) and what it represents in terms of how this country is organized?

"We are endowed by our Creator"....boy if they could amend that they surely would. Leftists HATE that clause in our preamble.

They truly do.

Well I don't know Op2 if you said it was in the Constitution, but you did say this in post #74

"The flag doesn't upset me but yes, the 10 Commandments would. Separation of Church and State, and all that. Mixing religion with politics is a bad, bad idea"

What were you referring to, Popular Mechanics?

You didn't say it was in the Constitution Op2, but the establishment clause doesn't mean "separation of Church from State"

We simply don't have a "State Church" like the Church of England was prior to our Declaration of Independence.

There is nothing in the Constitution that forbids Religious practice in Government, we are free to practice it and free to not practice it.

We swear on the Bible in Government, we hold Prayers to open Congressional meetings, and we recognize our Creator during inaugurations and other ceremonies organized under the Government.

We do not restrict Religious beliefs or Faith, and we do not require them under our Government. Read the link I provided for you in post #78 in this thread.

That explains it.

Is there a US flag in the room where you're sitting right now?
Yes, there are 2. One folded in a shadow box of a fallen comrade and one displayed which was flown in one of our planes during one of the first strikes on ISIS in Iraq. You're one of the slimy little fvcks that just needs a mud hole stomped in your ***. Contrarian for the sake of being contrarian.
