I think he can out funk Gross, and that is saying a lotGross is wrestling really good. Will be tough for Jax. But Jax can absolutely do it.
He is a mysteryI was surprised Thompson came back right away after Jersey took the lead 3 to 1 after a takedown. Ten seconds later Brayden shot a great low single for the takedown and then slid into defense and held on for a little more than a minute. Surprised me.
Age and weight does not seem to matter for Dake, but, Zahid is looking real good and hungry. It’s clobbering Time.Zahid beats Marsteller 4-2. Zahid teched him last time they met.
Zahid vs. Dake in the finals tomorrow night!

I think he's 18 already. Still crazy what he's doingIf Jax can win tonight he locks up the u23 world team spot and has a shot at the senior world team spot. Crazy for a 16/17? year old.
Don’t see Beau Hickman eitherDid Vega miss weight or something? He's not on the bracket...
ThanksCarter Young in the hole on mat 1.
Rocklin Zinkin in the hole on mat 29.
Rocklin Zinkin won by tech he is a verbal commitment wrestling 55kg at u17. He has 1 year left in high school and is a 2 time California state champ. He is not a top recruit but could be over time.Who is Zinkin?
Thank you for these MA’s! You’re keeping me in the gameJJ on mat 11 now.
Thompson in the hole on mat 2.
Plott in the hole on mat 3.
Thompson had Welsh as his opponent who is tough but lost 5 to 0. People say the negative about Welsh is he has no offense. He appears to be an offensive machine compared to Thompson. I don't know the percentages of fault( I assume it is mostly on Thompson) but it does not appear that he has developed at all in Stillwater. That includes his half of a year in high school. Mentally he seems to struggle, and he did not have 1 good attack. Plott won also.Plott and Thompson up now on mats 2 and 3.
Burton in the hole on mat 10.
To me it looks like he just doesn't have enough endurance.Thompson had Welsh as his opponent who is tough but lost 5 to 0. People say the negative about Welsh is he has no offense. It seemed Valencia decided I am not letting this guy beat me and just started bullying Young and teched him. Young in the 2nd period didn't have much today.Carter loses to Aden Valncia 14-4. Carter got the first two takedowns but Valencia defended the lace both times. Carter will have a rematch against Beau Bartlett in the 5th place match.
Burton techs Valentine Popadiuc in 2:30.
Guerrero beats Ryder Yoshitake on criteria 4-4.
Plott got teched? Just following scores and didn't see it, but he must have been turned several times quickly.Plott on deck on mat 3.
Ethan Teague in the hole mat 12.
He was behind 1 to 0 by 30 second count, in the 2nd period he got faked out bad and taken down for 3 to 0 got leg laced a bunch for the tech.Plott got teched? Just following scores and didn't see it, but he must have been turned several times quickly.
Teague with 18 sec tech fallEthan Teague on mat 12 now.
Carter in the hole mat 2 for the 5th place match against Bartlett.
Things aren't starting out so well with Vega not in the tournament and some uninspiring wrestling but we have Robideau, Lockett, Merrill, Ross and Jax coming up. I watched Lincoln Robideau win his 1st match by tech. He just overpowered his opponent. He was behind 1 to 0 by 30 second count, in the 2nd period he got faked out bad and taken down for 3 to 0 got leg laced a bunch for the tech.
I really like the freestyle rules except for this one. I think once you turn a guy with a move to get more back points you should have to release that hold and hook it up again like in collegiate wrestling. That’s the reason I’m not a big fan of freestyle rules. Those 10 “back” points scored against Plott are ********. I understand that’s the rules but they are ******** rules. In no way shape or form is the aven a remote possibility that you could ever oin someone in that manner and to call that shoulder exposure is a joke,
